𝐄𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐦; 𝐡𝐲𝐮𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐱

51‣ 𝙚𝙮𝙚𝙨 𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙡𝙞𝙚

"Felix!"

It came like the hurl of wind outside, like the rattle of clouds clashing in the skies, the patter of rain against surfaces in the ground, it came like a haunting melody one would hear at night when fighting their demons. Felix's words of an epiphany were locked in the cage within his throat as he pulled away from Hyunjin in the haste of startlement, eyes a little widened and lips parted as he stared out the window, trying to discern who it was

Hyunjin was still for a split second, his anticipation for Felix's words was so grand it had halted all of his other senses, he had been mystified to hear what Felix had to say but then it was snatched from him and then reality was sinking in him like the fangs of a viper, he turned his neck around in a manner that was unlike Felix's. The blue-haired was surprised, Hyunjin was alerted

His grip over Felix tightened, a nerve had been struck the second that voice echoed in his senses and he wanted nothing more than to make sure Felix was within the safety of his embrace under any circumstance. It had been raining that damned night too, but this time around, Hyunjin was going to go to the ends of the world to make sure nothing would ever hurt Felix again.

"Felix, where are you?!"

When the voice shouted again, the shock that had stolen Felix's senses dispersed and he was sighing inaudibly, shuffling away from Hyunjin and sitting up properly as he stared at Hyunjin's furrowed eyebrows and peril-stricken eyes, gulping and placing his hands on the blond's chest to stay stable "We should go" Felix licks his lips as clears his throat, drowning out the words that were so close to climbing out of his heart

Suddenly, it is as if a gusting gale had sailed his ship away in a different direction, his epiphany feels no longer something he wants to word out, he's grown too conscious of everything as soon as the voice had erupted his lavender haze of realization, the very voice he knew all too well.

Hyunjin stares at him for a beat, eyebrows furrowed before he sighs through his nostrils and nods slightly. As Felix's hand reaches for the door of the car, Hyunjin's larger one comes and wraps over it, stopping him and making him look up into his eyes. Before Felix can say anything, he notices Hyunjin reaching for the dashboard behind him, opening the compartment, and dragging out a slick gun from in it

the blond hides from Felix's eyes by not making eye contact because he feels as though there is a lump in his chest of shame and it's spreading its poison everywhere in him. With avoided gazes, he lets go of Felix's hand to place his own on the slide and pulls back before releasing sharply, making the sound echo loudly in the semi-quiet car and startling Felix

The blue-haired's gasp reverberates in the car and makes Hyunjin's heart sink, he doesn't like that Felix has to see a weapon in his hands but he's not going to be foolish enough to walk out into the night when a man is yelling out his precious tressure's name and be unarmed. Once he's assured his firearm is loaded and ready to shoot, he gulps and hesitantly looks up at Felix with humility in his eyes

Felix is unmoving, hand still on the handle as he quietly stares at the gun and Hyunjin feels a billion bees buzz around in his stomach, ignominy crawling everywhere on his skin. "Just to be safe" Hyunjin murmurs like he's attempting to defend himself, clearing his throat and trying to hide the shame that is rising within him upon the look in Felix's eyes

the blue-haired doesn't say anything, removes his eyes from Hyunjin and the weapon collectively as he turns his neck around and opens the door, climbing off of Hyunjin in a swift motion. Hyunjin's breath crawls in his throat as he nearly malfunctions before the years he's spent being a ruthless monster finally kick in and his hand flies to grab his suit jacket from the passenger seat and he's immediately hopping out of the car with Felix, shutting the door with a noise.
