Felix and Hyunjin didn't realize when the rain stopped, when the clouds dispersed, and when the sun peeked over the horizon. They were so gone and lost in their shared laughter and lingering serenity that they didn't realize how far the hands of time had slipped. They'd stayed up the entire night last night, talking for most of it before they began conversing about favorite movies and one thing led to another, and in the cascading of happenstances, they were huddled in a shared blanket, on the very bed, watching Hyunjin's favorite childhood movie while consistently making jokes that wouldn't be funny if they weren't high on this moment
"I was a child, if you make fun of it I will not hesitate to smother you" Hyunjin's voice is stern and Felix can only cackle like a witch as he claps his hands "I love it! I love it!" he speaks twice as if once isn't enough and Hyunjin narrows his eyes, glaring at him and regretting every single thing he had ever done that could have lead him to this moment. He dwells in rue about having ever mentioned that he used to be obsessed with Practical Magic as a child because now Felix keeps giggling to himself and he's really angry (he's not, he's just embarrassed and he doesn't understand how to articulate his emotions)
arms crossed over his chest the blond glares ahead at the TV which is now playing his childhood favorite movie and Felix is right next to him, so close and so warm, in the same blanket that Hyunjin had draped over his legs, cuddled by his side and curled into a ball but still so far from Hyunjin that he has to fist his hands to hold himself back from spreading his own arms and holding Felix hostage within them. His jaw is tightened and Felix's giggles never die out, seconds pass and then he's had enough of that sweet sound
"You're dead" he speaks, so much gravity in his words as he turns around and sits on his knees on the bed, grabbing both of Felix's wrists and holding them between the two of them, making the boy lie on his back and raise his knees to his chest so he can protect himself from Hyunjin. They've been in this position before, a bed, the wrists held in a single hand, the knees held high—you get the idea, but then, it was different and now is vastly divergent. For one, they have their clothes on.
Felix's laugh never dies out, instead, it has grown in sound because for some reason, having Hyunjin so riled up makes him die in humor. His eyes are closed and head thrown back, the saccharine giggles echoing in Hyunjin's home of solitude and painting the monochrome walls a shade of heaven, Hyunjin stills for a split second, heart pausing alongside his actions as he gazes quietly at Felix and finds himself admiring how someone can be this beautiful
"Okay, sorry!" exclaims the blue-haired pinned beneath Hyunjin's grip, protesting lightly against his hold as he calms down and stares at Hyunjin only with a wide grin on his lips "I love this movie, okay? It's a cult classic and I'd kill for Sandra Bullock, she's a goddess, I'm not making fun of you~" Felix speaks through bit-back giggles and chuckles as he tries to make a point, speaking the ultimate truth and Hyunjin only glares back it him "Seriously! It's just that, you're so --" Felix eyes him like he's proving something and it's only then does he realizes the stance they are in
so the rogue on his freckled cheeks and the dim of his smile was inevitable as he gulped and licked his lips, looking back up at Hyunjin and speaking with a calmer tone now "You know, a suave, macho man--straight out of some Mafia movie" Felix rolls his eyes at his own words and Hyunjin finds his grip loosening over the latter's wrists "Is that so?" He queries, teasingly. Felix smiled softly, nodding his head before he freed himself from the blond
and Hyunjin let him go, let him return to his giggly self as he huddled in the blankets again and patted the spot next to him, holding the comforter upto his chin and looking as adorable as he has ever. "Come on, now, stop being sulky and lie down" Felix offers, sighing softly and Hyunjin can't deny his request. So without thinking any further, he does as asked of him, and plops down next to Felix, basking in his warmth.
