LAYLA WALKED OUT  THE BEDROOM ONLY IN HER ROBE AS SHE WATCHED TIM.

"You're up early." She commented walking towards him. Tim nodded pulling her into himself as he looked down at her.

"It's my first day of training at Metro. As the newbie it's my job to haul in the gear and ammo."

Layla nodded before she looked up at him. "Oh my god! You're a rookie now! Like me." She spoke nudging him.

"Layla I'm not exactly-"

"Sh, it's okay Timmy I'm not judging. You're like the rookie of Metro." She added.

"I'm a sergeant."

"Well, you're a rook in my book." She spoke before she cringed slightly at herself Tim chuckling at her. "That sounded way better in my head."

He looked at her amused before she shook her head as she wrapped her arms tighter around his neck, leaning up to place a kiss to his lips.

Tim pulled away before placing a kiss to her head. "I can't be late on my first day."

Layla nodded up at him sighing. "Yeah, rookies shouldn't ever be late."

Tim rolled his eyes at her playfully before kissing her lips once more.

"I'll see you later." He spoke lowly at her.

"Yes you will. Stay safe. I love you."

"I love you too." Tim left leaving Layla alone as she checked the time.

She had about two hours before she needed to get ready for work herself.

"Come on Kojo. You get to sleep on the bed with mom." The dog barked quietly following Layla into the room.

"An action figure?" Layla asked Aaron crossing her arms. "That's so cool!"

"That's what I said!" Celina spoke as the three of them walked towards the break room.
