Alex and Jack were casually sitting around in their hotel room. Each sitting soundlessly as they scrolled through their phones.
They were a bit worn out from the day.
Gender rules weren't exactly important, but based on what people wanted to do, they ended up unintentionally being separated by men and women.
The men actually went golfing, and the women stayed around the resort and went to the spa
They were pretty worn out after a hot day on the course so they all went there separate ways once they got back.
Of course, while they were golfing, Zack's athletic and competitive spirit came out(as did his dad's)
So, ultimately Team Barakat(and Alex) lost to team Merrick.
Dean did most of the work for Jack's family as he's an incredibly gifted golfer.
On the other hand... Alex is a bit of a beginner so... Everybody was being gracious with him.
Well. Mostly.
Zack felt the need to poke fun at Alex and his lack of coordination all day.
To Alex- it didn't really feel like that Zack was poking fun... It seemed like Zack was genuinely being rude to him.
Then again- for this entire trip that wasn't unexpected.
In fact, Alex would be concerned if Zack all of a sudden started being nice to him.
Even though Jack had the conversation that was needed between the two of them. Jack stated his intentions and set his boundaries.
Zack still seems to be stuck on Jack. Despite how hard he tried. It made it for a few uncomfortable moments between the three of them throughout the day. Jack always made sure to state that him and Alex were together, and was transparent, but Zack seemed to not care.
Jack recieved a text from Dean while he was scrolling through Instagram. Jack sighed as he opened it. He knew it would be him and Alex spending time with Dean and Jen, and that stresses both him and Alex out.
"What could he want." Jack mumbled under his breath.
Dean: Hey Bud. Jen and I are thinking about going to the aquarium tomorrow. You and Alex should join us. Double date style. 🐠🐡🦈
Jack:I'll check with Alex.
Dean: Awesome. Let me know. Should be fun.
Jack: I am warning you- he may take some convincing. He is getting a little worn out from all the family activities. 😪
Dean: Yeah... you didn't warn him that we are non-stop on these trips? 👀👀
Jack went wide eyed at the accusation.
Jack: I did ya dickhead. 😡 It's different being told it and then actually having to do it. Not to mention Zack has been an ass to him this whole trip because Zack is still in love with me. I think.🙃🙃
Dean: Oh. I suppose that's a valid point. And don't call me dickhead. I am still your big bro.
Jack: I will text you in the morning. Worse case scenario: I come to the aquarium with you two alone.
Dean: 🤙🤙
Jack turned on the couch to look at Alex, who was lounging on the bed not far from him.
"Hey, Dean wants us to join him and Jen for a double date to the aquarium tomorrow." Jack said a bit hesitantly.
Alex groaned.
