Chapt.10 (Eng)

Faye was about to travel to another city for a meeting with a production company, to talk about films, since the woman had planned to release an app, where they would have part of the content and thus have more of their own productions out. Obviously for this format, they would have to create new ones, series and movies exclusively for the platform. And that meant hiring more people and production companies, something that had not yet been discussed with WanWan.

- So are you coming with me?

- Faye, okay.. the platform thing seems great to me, but don't you think you should talk about it with my mothers? Plus Ize would be the one who is going to give you the most trouble since she is the director, she would also be involved in more work.  And well... daddy Wan is worse!  She comes from the era of the dinosaurs, I don't know if she would like your new era ideas.

- But they hired me as CEO for something, right?  Furthermore, it is only a meeting to talk about the subject, we will not close any contract yet, it is more of an approach.

- Have you talked to the head of that production company yet?

- We talked about it, that's what the meeting is for, they are more the ones who want to sell us, than the other way around!

- Okay, you're the boss.

- In half an hour we leave, I already have the hotel reserved.

- How would you know I wouldn't refuse?

- I didn't know.

- And the hotel rooms?  'cause you surely booked them in advance.

- I only booked one...

- Are we going to be together in one?

- It's a suite, it has two rooms and a common space.

- You have it very planned I see.

- Always prepared!

- Perfect, should we go in your car?

- I have a driver.

- Damn, that too?

- Surprised?

- ..

Faye just smiled at the surprised faces Yoko got every time she said something.
After gathering their things, the women left to go to Yoko's apartment to look for a suitcase, they wouldn't be there more than a day or day and a half but she needed clothes anyway.

- And how was the celebration with your family?

- Well, I guess somewhat not what I had in mind.

- You can tell me, also you can distract me since I get bored when I'm not driving.

- Why do you have a driver?

- There are times where I need to relax and I only call him from time to time.

- Sounds good..

- So?

- So my mothers want to get divorced.

- What?  Weren't they on a honeymoon?

Yoko smiled for a moment, lowering her head, without saying anything and not out of embarrassment but because the woman, seemed mentally younger to her, she felt that at times she was talking to someone her age. While Faye was very responsible and professional in every way possible, there was something about her that didn't feel distant.  Yoko found her very endearing and increasingly saw her as a possible solid friendship for the rest of her life.
