Westoaks Correctional Facility...

Dudley Wainwright was a state-appointed criminal defense attorney who sometimes hated the clients he was to work with, especially those with zero care about other people's welfare or showed no remorse for the crimes that they committed.

And when he learned about the Chamblee family and the crimes they committed- Hezekiah's murder and Cameron's attempted murder, to be precise- and how they showed no remorse for what they done; he knew that he was facing a losing battle.

Dudley knew a lot about the Chamblees and their so-called "diamond standard" values that required total perfection and malice towards others whom they thought were beneath them. They reminded the older man of his acrimonious divorce of his social-climbing wife Alicia and how she hated his career while showing little regard for their only son who had passed away from terminal cancer at the age of 12.

He knew that he wanted to make sure that Jeffrey and Adelle Chamblee were screwed over in the same way that they screwed over Hezekiah and Cameron. And when he met the couple and two of their children at the meeting hall of the medium-security prison, he had a game-plan in mind.

"Make us deals, Mr. Wainwright," Jeffrey commanded. "My family and I are planning to be back at home so we can rebuild our lives after the scandal from Mariah's wedding."

I'll make sure that you get a hell of a deal, you bastard, Dudley thought as he kept his composure. I'll make sure that your deal involves you and your family becoming the perfect prison bitches over in Stonehill, especially you and your drug-addicted bully of a son.

"Write a confession," Dudley said out loud. "Give a detailed account of events that had transpired. I must tell you that the cards aren't in your favor given the statements that many people are making and the evidence that is building up. But if you all are willing to fight 'til the end, make sure that you are going to be responsible for your actions."

So Jeffrey and his family, obviously not the brightest pebbles on the beaches of Martha's Vineyard, did just that.

Boston Federal Courthouse, the following afternoon...

"Bail is denied. The defendants will be remanded into custody until the trial takes place two weeks from now."

As expected, Jeffrey and his family pled not guilty despite the confessions that they made, and were soon heading back to their prison cells until the trial took place. "Mr. Wainwright, my family and I made a mistake in hiring you," the older man said, sneering at Dudley before spitting in his face. "We can represent ourselves."

"Fine by me," Dudley remarked, taking a handkerchief to wipe his face clean. "I must tell you that your other son Cameron has known of the assets that are placed under his late brother's name. He and the others, led by your other daughter Mariah and your son-in-law Andrew as well as the Colemans, have liquidated everything and donated all the money to various charities across the city while paying your former servants with their severance packages."

"WHAT?!" the Chamblee clan exclaimed, shock and indignation etched on their faces.

"Cameron can't do that," Adelle screeched. "Hezekiah owed us a lot for being a bastard of a son! He's the reason-"

"Well, it's all on you for treating Hezekiah like trash, Mrs. Chamblee," Dudley interrupted. "And I think that's fair of Cameron to sell off everything after you all disregarded his late brother. As far as I'm concerned, he, Andrew, and Mariah are no longer related to you. They are leaving Boston forever and have made the arrangements to cut themselves out of their lives."

"They can't do that," Leigh-Anne remarked. "Mariah's too loyal to double-cross the family's diamond standards. And Andrew married her!"

"Where the fuck are they?" Alex demanded. "We need to talk to them and set them all straight!"

"They are preparing to leave today," Dudley explained. "The family home has been sold and your former siblings and son-in-law won't be visiting you. Nor will you see them at the trial coming up. From where I sit, they want nothing to do with you all as of today."

"Mr. Wainwright," Adelle began.

"No more talk, Mrs. Chamblee. You all make my head hurt. Nothing you all say will change my mind. You made it clear that I was fired and I will be heading home. Let's never cross each other's paths. All I can do is wish you the best of luck for your trial," Dudley said crisply, smirking at the family's looks of disbelief. "I can assure you that you're going to need all the luck you can get and then some."

With that, Dudley Wainwright picked up his briefcase and walked away from the family, never looking back as he heard the police escort the family into a waiting prison van. He was planning to visit his son's grave before making arrangements to join the city's district attorney offices. Maybe it was time for him to be a defender for Boston while putting away criminals like the Chamblee family in prison.

As far as confessions went, the Chamblee Four's were winners. And with the evidence set against them as well as written statements that Cameron, Mariah, and Andrew had written the day before, it was clear to Captain Slater that this case was going to be open and shut with zero delays.

Hezekiah would get his posthumous justice as would Cameron.

And the witnesses who were set to appear at the trial (Minnie Jean Simmons, Jana Salzbach, Ty'Reek Chandler, and the other former maids and servants for the Chamblee family) would have no regrets for testifying against the family.

No regrets at all.

I bet they wouldn't. And we already know how the trial will end, folks, so the endgame won't be too long to get the final result for the Chamblee Four (Jeffrey, Adelle, Alex, and Leigh-Anne). Let's just say that justice will indeed be in Hezekiah's favor! But first, we check in with Cameron, Valentin, Mariah, and Andrew as they meet up at the Chamblee mansion one last time before they leave Boston behind for good. Stay tuned!
