Boston Federal Courthouse, three weeks later...

Two weeks of a trial that captivated the greater Boston area.

Two hours of jury deliberation.

One verdict.

"Guilty."

Jeffrey, Adelle, Alex, and Leigh-Anne Chamblee- known as the "Chamblee 4" by the media- were convicted of all charges against them: murder conspiracy against Hezekiah Chamblee, bank frauds, identity theft, and attempted premeditated murder.

"We did what we had to do," was all Jeffrey said regarding the only statement made against the witnesses during cross-examination. "It was for the good of the family's diamond standard."

During the sentencing phase of the trial, it was Minnie Jean who had the last word against the Chamblee Four. "You all thought that you could get away with your malicious deeds against Hezekiah and Cameron," she declared as she glared down at the non-plussed family. "But like I told those boys, so say I to y'all and the people of Boston: what's done in the darkness would be brought to the light and what was said in whispers would be spoken out loud on the rooftops. The Lord works in mysterious ways and I know that He is getting ready for your ultimate judgement day when you take your final breaths on Earth. I pray that y'all get right with the Lord while you can before you end up in the fires of hell."

"Please," Adelle scoffed. "God is dead."

Judge Elizabeth McGrath, a hardy woman with thirty years of courtroom experience, turned to the unrepentant defendants. "I fully agree with Mrs. Simmons," she said, her voice thick with anger. "You four will soon answer for your crimes, starting today. I have nothing but contempt and pity for you all."

Jeffrey, Adelle, and Leigh-Anne were sentenced to life without parole. Alex was sentenced to five years of juvenile detention before he was to be transferred to the adult prison where he would also serve an additional twenty years with a possible chance of parole after ten years.

As expected, neither Cameron, Mariah, nor Andrew attended the trial as they wanted no dealings with the family. But Cameron did leave a final statement for his family over the phone while attending Eton in London. "I am glad that you all will finally answer for your crimes. The Chamblee Diamond Standard is no more. I have no more connections to this family and I have no sympathy for all of you. May God have mercy on your souls."

Jeffrey, Adelle, Alex, and Leigh-Anne were now fully disgraced with no more of their assets left as everything was sold and/or donated. And they knew that they were not going to stick around any longer to become prison puppets for the rough-faced criminals known to mankind.

Three days into their prison sentence, Alex was found dead in his cell with a makeshift noose around his neck. His parents and older sister were also found in the same manner two days afterward. No one except the prison guards and a few inmates attended their funerals as they were buried in the prison cemetery

Finally, justice was served and Hezekiah Oshea Chamblee could finally rest in peace.

It's short, I know, but it packs a powerful punch. Jeffrey, Adelle, and two of their children are finally getting what they deserved. And it's no secret that their place in the afterlife involves eternal torment and lots of unending fire!

And now, we're heading back to the Nexus where it's finally time to give Rosalia what she deserves. And how she'll get it will surprise you. And there's going to be one final cameo appearance by a certain fortune-teller at the end of the chapter! We're closer and closer to the grand finale, boys and girls! Stick around because it's truly going to be heaven-sent!
