Media: "A Ningun Hombre" by Rosalia
Meanwhile, back in the Nexus...
Rosalia Domingue is a young woman on edge.
Since the sudden radio silence after sending the tainted cupcakes to Hezekiah in Winterhaven, she expected some recent developments on whether or not the young man had eaten them at any moment.
Even as she sat down to a light lunch of a chicken Caesar salad, she couldn't help but wonder if Chance was also unfortunate enough to have eaten one of the cupcakes that could put him and Hezekiah in an eternal sleep. "Something has to give," she muttered after swallowing down the first bite of her salad. "Chance has to see that I can be the perfect girlfriend for him. Maybe after he finishes mourning for that loser, he'll soon realize that I'm the perfect match for him. I'm all he gets and I always get what I want."
Just as she was about to reach for her glass of water, there was a knock at the door. "Come in," she said tiredly, not in the mood for any company.
A fresh-faced delivery man came inside before strolling to the kitchenette and handing the young woman an envelope. "Urgent message for you, Miss Slade," he said cheerfully. "Comes from one Chance Dalton."
Perking up at the mention of her intended lover, she eagerly took the envelope and opened the contents to find a simple note.
Catalina, I decided that you and I are indeed meant to be.
I let go of Hezekiah. He and I are on good terms and he wishes you well.
Meet me at the gazebo located in the middle of the town park at sunset.
Wear something...wedding-approved. We're going to make it official.
-Chance Dalton.Rosalia trilled happily, doing a small samba dance. "Perfection," she cooed, turning to the delivery man and handing him a few dollar bills. "I knew he'd see things my way. And Hezekiah finally wisened up and saw the light! This makes my day all the merrier! I have to get out the dress that's perfect for this evening!"
She thanked the delivery man before escorting him out the door and headed to her bedroom to prepare herself for the next moment of her life.

The early signs of the sunset came as Rosalia, dressed in a lacy wedding gown with pearls and silk sans a veil, arrived at the town park. She sung one of her favorite Brazilian songs as she waved hello to the other townspeople before catching sight of a well-dressed Chance Dalton waiting for her alongside Salgiel, Eva, and Catia with the female seraph holding a prayer book in her hand.
"This is such a lovely evening for a twilight wedding," Rosalia cooed. She turned to Chance, who merely smirked. "I'm so glad that you finally see the light and know that you and I are the perfect couple for each other."
"I'm happy that you're happy," Chance replied smoothly. "And soon, we're going to have a perfect life together."
"Well, just as long as you and Hezekiah are going to remain platonic. I'm still a jealous woman who doesn't like to be placed second."
"Babe, I assure you that Hezekiah's been let down easy and that he's wishing us the best right now," Chance assured her. To Catia, "Shall we get the ceremony going?"
"I believe we shall," Catia remarked.
"Let's go," Rosalia replied. She smirked condescendingly at Salgiel and Eva, both of them dressed in their Sunday finest. "I bet you two are jealous."
"Hardly," Eva scoffed. "But if Chance will make you happy, then all the best to you."
"Ditto," Salgiel replied.
