Lisa's family continued to chat about stuff that Lisa did not feel the need to engage in. She sat there like a wallflower, listening to them talk about mundane things adults were interested in—Marco's recommended herbal teas, her mom's begonias, and Tiger JK's stories from his childhood which she already heard a long time ago.

It worked for her that it appeared like they had already caught up with their lives, the food, and the funeral dinner that they did not have to ask her. The mood was light, and she was grateful to Tiger JK for bringing a lot of random stories to draw everyone's attention to him instead. He always knew what to do and at one point, he winked at her.
