A/N: Sorry for irregular updates. I've been going through stuff. And why is therapy so expensive???? Now, let me release my feelings in writing instead. Kkkkkk. We're approaching the end, so I'm shifting to the most dramatic gears. Slowly... 😇

The salty air still clung to Lisa and Roseanne as they stepped into Farmer's Kitchen. The aroma of grilling patties and crispy fries filled the small space, a welcome scent after their beach stroll. Lisa spotted a familiar face behind the counter and waved her hand at one of her former kitchen crew members. "Sunoo!" She tied Love's leash by the door, moving around the place with ease.
Sunoo's head popped up, his eyes lighting up in recognition. "Chef! Welcome, welcome! You're looking well!"
Lisa slightly raised her eyebrows, a bit caught off guard at the unusual greeting because Sunoo was one of the everyday faces she used to work with, and now it had been months since she last saw him. It might be the sappy moments earlier that made her so mushy inside that she almost choked at returning the pleasantry. "S—Skip the pleasantries."
"No, serious! You got this... it's a whole lot of vibe, chef." Wearing a thin smile, Sunoo's eyes moved toward the woman beside Lisa to save her former boss a moment of embarrassment because, no, that was not the usually fired-up grumpy Grinch he used to work for. Or maybe it was. Just that... she finally had a change of heart.
A hand placed on her waist, Lisa shifted her weight from one foot to the other, chuckling. "Cease it, kiss ass. You, uh, doing well?"
Sunoo nodded just to shut the conversation, sharing the surprise that Lisa was actually initiating some decent conversation they never had before.
Lisa started to think fast before the silence stretched on to become weird. Roseanne's quietness and the way she was drumming her fingers at the back of her hand were distracting her, she did not know what it fucking meant. Maybe nothing. Maybe she was just panicking at the back of her head because... How to introduce a girlfriend?!
Squinting slightly not to appear rude, Sunoo tried to place where he had seen that purple-haired woman's face before. And why Lisa was acting all weird about it when she always had a woman—oh. Oh.
In the quiet seconds that followed, Lisa looked shy and fidgeted with her hand, which was entwined with Roseanne's. It was the first time they had gone real public about their relationship in Jukdo. By real, she meant without the grouchy façade to deny their feelings. Well, it was more of her trying to act like she would never turn soft for a girl and be in love. It was a shocker Sunoo even recognized her.
A hint of smugness consumed her tentatively because she actually got the girl after all. And the girl seemed to feel a bit uneasy beside her, which was unlike the cheerful and ever-friendly Roseanne she knew. She glanced at Roseanne, who looked very shy—and ugh, cute—trying to hide her face behind her when clearly that did not work that way.
Before Lisa could save her girl and hate herself for getting on the same page a minute too late, Sunoo tried to hide a mischievous smile, and it annoyed her that she shot Sunoo a warning look and leaned her elbow on the countertop. "Stop goofing off now! You're always half-focused on—Are you even supposed to man the front of the house?"
"Hey! Hey! Hey! Don't be cocky now and scold my staff, city boi!" A tall, broad-shouldered man with a black band tied around his head emerged from the kitchen, wiping his hands on his apron.
