A/N: Uhm... I never planned for JenSoo to take the angst seat, but here we are. Can't leave any of my characters happy, that's what I am. 🤣

With one hand above her forehead, Jennie sat up on Jisoo's bed, checking the time on her phone—nine twenty-eight. Her phone was fully charged, and it broke her heart that Jisoo was thoughtful enough, and maybe not in a drunken stupor as her, to even remember to do that.
She knew it would be impossible to sneak out of Jisoo's apartment without the latter catching her when the sun was already high and might, its rays slipping through the tiny crack between the Pop Art curtains. Before her hangover took over, she caught a peal of laughter coming up her throat when her vision started to sharpen. The curtains had a huge ass art at the center, parted enough to let a bit of the light in. It was just so Jisoo to think it was a great idea—a buttcrack for a curtain.
Releasing a quiet moan as she tilted her chin up and brought the base of her skull toward her back to stretch, the last night's drunken episode was slowly coming back. She rotated her head clockwise and back to stretch her neck and then tilted it sideways and held the position for a few seconds and then it hit her like the bus running her over.
The room became cold, and she reflexively hugged herself as the reality bit, making her shudder and disgusted with herself. Her behavior was not at all something to be boisterously enthusiastic about because she vaguely remembered the part where she lost her inhibitions and did the most stupid thing gays hated. That thing they put a curse on straight people for—playing with their hearts and mouths as if they were some science toys for an experiment. Worse, wishing they were a boy instead.
Fuck. Hands covering her face, she muffled a cry, upset with herself. She should go. And never come back to Jisoo's life anymore. Why did she even think that staying over Jisoo's place was—Right. I didn't want to go home. But Jisoo has done enough for me, and I had the audacity to even steal her first kiss.
Halfheartedly, she carried on with the mission to leave furtively by tiptoeing her way out of Jisoo's room. Crap. The smell of hash browns, eggs, and sausages lured her in. Not hungrily. But guiltily. To maybe serve Jisoo a plateful of apologies. She was kind of hoping Jisoo would be mad or turned off by her then. She did not expect her to be cooking her breakfast after everything. And fuck?! It was not in the cards that would save her either—Jisoo was already there with a bed tray table on hand.
"Oh! Hi! Good morning!" Jisoo's eyes and lips were curved into a bright smile, free from any trace of a hangover.
Jennie's stomach growled and she was sure it was not just the need for a snack. It was the sickening feeling that Jisoo was smiling brightly at her like she did not just break her heart last night. "Uh... Hi."
"Thought you'd like to have breakfast in bed because that's how it's done in your mansion, isn't it?" Grinning from ear to ear, Jisoo moved her brows up and down to tease Jennie who barely smiled. The dropping of her head and the little crease at the center of her eyebrows carried some guilt and so, to cheer her up, she audibly sighed long, "Haaaaaaaaaaaaaa."
The expression made Jennie lift her face, staring at Jisoo uncomprehendingly. "Huh? Haaaaaa?"
Jisoo snorted. "Hangover sucks? I got you." She looked down at the tray and pointed at three different kinds of pain relievers—aspirin, ibuprofen, and NSAID drugs. "Dunno which you prefer and if you're allergic to any."
While nodding absently, Jennie bit her lips. Jisoo's sweetness was only making her guilt snowball. "Jisoo, this is too much—" The rumbling of her stomach was definitely asking for food. The plate of hash browns, fried egg, and sausage bread roll along with a bowl of fruits, bananas, and a glass of orange juice was so hard to resist. Shit. Her bodily noise was pretty embarrassing. It was weighing on her heart, but she had no grasp of what was going on—how Jisoo was going on in spite of it all.
