Chapter 23 - In the Wake of Darkness

Momo and Jihyo walked through the forest when Momo suddenly thought of something.

"Mama. There's someone I want to come with us. We'll catch Mina anyway, but I think that person may be able to help us"

"If you think so, then go ahead. I'll be preparing for the time being. Let's meet down at the beach in two hours"

"Okay!"

Momo ran into the hospital and barged into the room to find it empty.

The sheets were pulled back and there was a note on the pillow.

"Chaeyoung?"

Mina grit her teeth as she stared at the man.

"My Mother. Where is she now?"

"So even you can get worried about your Mother after all."

Director Jinyoung locked eyes with her silently for a brief moment before opening his mouth.

"She's dead."

Mina's eyes sprung wide open in disbelief.

"My plan was to make her bear my child. But she took her own life instead. We had to surgically extract out her ovary and womb, and connect it to a life-support system so as to not waste her. But in the end, only one Psionicus was successfully born..."

The Director looked over to a large rock beside him.

Mina's heart stopped as a little boy walked out from behind.

"Let me introduce the only male Psionicus to ever exist. In other words...

"Your brother."

"What...?"

"Through repeated breeding with humans, the blood of my family weakened and our abilities were lost along with our homes. But I won't let that mistake repeat! The blood of the horned must not weaken, and a pure-blooded male Psionicus beside me is required. This is my child. A child of my demonic blood and your mother's spontaneous mutation. The Ultimate Psionicus! He is the Adam, and I am already the new mankind's God!", he laughed psychotically.

The boy looked at Mina with a smile and waved.

"Big sis!"

The grotto began to collapse from the damage Mina had caused.

"This underground grotto has fulfilled it's role as a womb. I shall create anew. Upon the ruins of the stupid homosapien race, only the world of us, the Psionicus, shall be created. The virus is already dispersed all over the world. Mankind's numbers will be cut in half in just a few years. No one can stop my plans now."

"Excuse me, Father."

The Director turned to the giant creature.

"I had a child even you were not aware of, Lily. My scheme was larger than the scope of your wisdom"
