Chapter 24 - Unforgivable Sins

"Y-You threw away the vaccine?!"

"Into the huge hole that goes down to the underground grotto...", Nayeon mumbled.

"WHY!?"

"I had no choice. I was about to fall from the crumbling building."

"Tch..."

"The data too... Everything... I don't know what to do", she cried.

Junior's assistant walked over and whispered to him.

"Commander. Her story's too good to be true, don't you think? There are too many coincidences. It could be a trap for all you know"

Junior sighed before turning away.

"I'll go search for the vaccine. Tell me where it is"

"EH?! YOU CAN'T! DIDN'T YOU HEAR ME? IT FELL MORE THAN 2 KILOMETERS DOWN THE HOLE! THE ISLAND WILL SINK SOON, WHAT IF WE GET STUCK INSIDE?! WE DON'T HAVE THE TIME TO SEARCH FOR IT!"

"Commander! The main shop starboard detects a large quantity of Psions down there!"

Junior walked over to his assistant.

"It's about time you noticed. This island is already overflowing with Psions"

"No, it's not that! The majority of them is gathering at one place near the ground fissure!"

Nayeon looked up at the screen which showed many dots gathering together.

"What is that? You can tell where the Psions are?"

"Yes. Like I said before, we're inside of a Psionicus. It can detect the presence of other Psions"

Nayeon looked intently at the screen when she had a sudden realisation.

"What if..."

"THERE! GO RIGHT THERE!", she yelled suddenly while pointing at the gathering point.

"What?"

"THERE'S NO TIME LEFT! THE ISLAND IS CRUMBLING! TAKE ME DOWN THERE WHERE THOSE PSIONS ARE!"

"What are you saying?! Do you have a death wish?!"

"WHAT ARE TALKING ABOUT?! DIDN'T YOU JUST SAY THIS THING WAS FLAWLESS!? IT CAN ATLEAST COVER ME, RIGHT?!"

"Commander. This may really be a trap...", Junior's assistant whispered.

Junior thought about it for a moment.

"Even if it were a trap, what is the problem with it? Even if there were a thousand Psions, they wouldn't stand a chance against my Vector Craft. It's not a bad idea to test out what it's capable of. Set course to the right. Set off to the Psion amassing point", he commanded.

"Yes, sir!"

The Vector Craft began to move with it's giant Vectors and headed towards the edge of the hole where countless Psions were gathered.

"Large quantity of Psions ahead confirmed!"

"Kill them."

The Vector Craft swiped through the Psions, taking out a large group of them instantly.

Nayeon's eyes widened as she saw the briefcase around the girls.

"THERE IT IS! THE VACCINE!"

"Where?!"

"I'LL GO GET IT! COVER ME!"

Nayeon ripped open the door and climbed down the ladder.

She hopped off the Vector Craft and charged right through the group of Psions as the Vector Craft took them out.
