The sexual tension between the three of us was palpable, thick enough to cut with a knife. After that intense training session with Marcus, I realized that Damien and I hadn't been intimate for a long time. His lust was evident every time he looked at me, but now wasn't the time.

Flashback to Yesterday
I was wandering around the house looking for something to do. Marcus was busy with something he hadn't fully explained, just mentioning it had to do with the guards and the rogue incident. I didn't think much of it. As I walked through the house, I passed Damien's office. The door was slightly ajar, just enough for me to peer in and hear him speaking to someone.
He was on the phone, and his voice sounded strained. "It's not possible," he was saying. "Something like this hasn't happened in centuries. Why now?" He paused, listening, and then added, "Yes, rogues... but it doesn't make sense."
Before he could turn around and spot me, I hurried down the hall and into the kitchen, pretending to look through the fridge. Moments later, Damien walked in, looking distracted. He gave me a small peck on the cheek and disappeared without a word.

End Flashback
The conversation I overheard had been playing in my head on a loop, making me more anxious with each passing hour. Marcus had also been unusually busy, and I couldn't shake the feeling that something was going on that no one was telling me about.
That night, I decided to confront them both. When Marcus came back, I asked him to come into my room. Despite our close relationship, we all slept in separate rooms to avoid escalating the jealousy between Damien and Marcus since Damien still hadn't fully accepted the situation.
Soon after, I heard Damien coming up the stairs. I asked him to join us in my room as well. When he saw Marcus sitting on the bed, he was about to walk out again, but I told him to stay, my voice leaving no room for discussion.
Both of them sat on my bed, or rather at opposite ends of it. The sight of them sitting in front of me like that turned me on a little, but I quickly pushed aside my dirty thoughts and began to speak.
"What the hell is going on? Why is everyone so busy all of a sudden, and why is no one telling me anything?" I demanded, looking directly at both of them. They both avoided my gaze, confirming my suspicions. "No one is leaving this room until I get some answers."
There was a long silence before Damien finally broke it. "I can't tell you much, at least not yet. It has to do with new information we got about the attack on the Moonshine Pack."
"That's not enough," I pressed on. "Why are you hiding it? I have a right to know. And why is Marcus spending time with the guards and fighters?"
Marcus stood up and walked over to me, looking down with a soft and calm expression. "Damien informed me of the new information and asked me to train and learn new techniques with the pack fighters," he said.
This took me aback. Damien had confided in Marcus, something he kept from me. On one side, I was happy that their relationship was improving, but on the other, I was angry and hurt. He told Marcus, someone he didn't like, before he told me, his mate, the person he claimed to be in love with.
I took a few steps back, looking at both of them. My pain and confusion must have been evident on my face. Damien stood up, trying to touch me, but I stepped back further.
"I didn't expect this," I said, my voice trembling. "I feel confused, like you're going behind my back. Maybe you did it to protect me, but even if that's the case, I still have a right to know. I'm responsible for the pack's wellbeing too. If this is just additional information, it shouldn't be something bad that's kept from me."
Tears began to spill down my cheeks. All the emotions I had been holding back poured out. "I need some time alone," I told them, my voice breaking. "Please, leave."
They tried to comfort me, but I recoiled, leaving them no choice but to reluctantly leave my room.
---
I decided to take a hot shower to calm myself. I replayed everything they had told me, wondering if I was overreacting. No, I was part of this pack, even more so than Marcus. I had been here before him. So why did Damien suddenly start confiding in Marcus about things that concerned the pack? He was supposed to dislike Marcus, yet here they were, both keeping secrets from me.
After showering, I went to bed, almost immediately drifting to sleep, feeling exhausted from all the crying.
---
The next morning, I woke up feeling slightly better, but the sting of last night's revelations still lingered. I decided to confront Damien and Marcus again, but this time with a clearer mind.
I found Damien in his office, staring at some documents. "Can we talk?" I asked, my voice soft but firm.
He looked up, his expression unreadable. "Of course."
I closed the door behind me and sat down across from him. "I need to understand why you told Marcus about the new information and not me."
Damien sighed, rubbing his temples. "I thought I was protecting you. The new information is troubling, and I didn't want to worry you until we had more concrete details."
"But why Marcus?" I pressed. "Why not involve me too?"
"I needed someone to help with the guards and fighters," Damien explained. "Marcus has the skills, and I needed to know he was capable. But you're right. I should have included you from the start. I'm sorry, Xavier."
His apology was sincere, and I felt some of the tension ease. "I understand you were trying to protect me, but I'm stronger than you think. We're supposed to face these challenges together."
Damien nodded, reaching out to take my hand. "You're right. I promise to be more open with you from now on."
---
Later that day, I found Marcus training with some of the pack fighters. He saw me approaching and paused, wiping sweat from his brow.
"We need to talk," I said, my tone leaving no room for argument.
He nodded, following me to a quieter spot. "What's on your mind?"
"Damien explained why he told you about the new information," I began. "But I still feel hurt that you both kept it from me."
Marcus sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I understand. It wasn't my place to tell you. Damien asked me to keep it between us until he was ready to talk to you."
"I get that," I replied. "But I need to be involved. I'm part of this pack, part of this prophecy. I can't be kept in the dark."
Marcus stepped closer, his expression serious. "You're right, Xavier. We'll make sure you're included in everything from now on. No more secrets."
His promise reassured me, and I felt a sense of relief. "Thank you, Marcus."
He smiled, a hint of relief in his eyes. "We're in this together, Xavier. All of us."
