He cut me off with a shout, his fury palpable. "How could you keep this from me? How could you betray me like this?"

The room seemed to close in around us, the air thick with tension. I tried to reach out to him, but he stepped back, his eyes blazing.

"Damien, it's not what you think. I was going to tell you, but—"

"Enough!" His voice was scarily calm now, a deadly quiet that sent shivers down my spine. "Get out. I don't want to see you. Ever."

Tears started to run down my cheeks, but I quickly wiped them away. His rejection cut deeper than any physical wound. The pain was unbearable. I left his room in a daze, my heart shattered. Everyone in the pack knew we were mated, even though we hadn't made it official. They were used to seeing me on their territory, so no one questioned it when I silently made my way to the hall for Damien's ceremony.

The ceremony was a grand affair, filled with pack members and allies. Damien stood at the front, radiating authority and power. But when our eyes met, they were cold and devoid of any emotion. I stood at the back, tears streaming down my cheeks. I felt like an intruder in a place that had once felt like home.

After the ceremony, I tried to talk to him, to explain everything, but he ignored me. Days turned into weeks, and his silence was unrelenting. I was suddenly banned from Moonshine territory, and at school, people blocked my attempts to approach him. The isolation was suffocating.
