Bright didn't pick up the call as he was busy with his friends backstage.
"I think we should all go to sleep. We can talk to him later," Shyle suggested.
Tisha nodded in agreement. "Yes, better to sleep."
Win, however, really wanted to talk to Bright. He needed to know the whole story as soon as possible. But he also agreed, "Yeah, I'll go to bed."
Although he went to bed, there was no way he could fall asleep. He kept watching the trailer again and again, feeling a knot of unease tightening in his stomach.
"Seriously, how did this girl get here?" Win murmured to himself. Curiosity getting the better of him, he went to her Instagram page. His heart sank as he saw all the cozy pictures she had posted with Bright during the shoot, each captioned with things like "He is the one."
This freaked Win out completely. He called Bright again. This time, Bright picked up.
"Did you watch? Did you like it?" Bright asked, his voice brimming with excitement.
Win calmed himself down, trying to match Bright's energy. "Yeah, we watched. It's good."
"It got picked up fast," Bright said. "Look at the views in just half an hour."
"Yeah, that's because you're in bed with a girl. Sex sells best," Win said, his voice betraying a hint of bitterness.
"Yes, that's what the producer said," Bright replied, seemingly unbothered.
Taking this chance, Win asked, "Who is the girl?"
"Which one? There are two main leads and one of them is the murderer," Bright said.
"Yeah, the murderer you were in bed with," Win clarified.
"Oh, she's some rich family brat. No idea about acting or anything, but they're spending a lot of money on this series," Bright told Win, lowering his voice to ensure no one else heard.
Win took a deep breath. "She met me in the café you used to work at. She told me she was interested in you. I told her you have someone you're dating. She said that would make it more fun."
Bright listened, his surprise evident. "I never knew about this."
"Yeah, check her IG. It's too much," Win said.
Bright quickly checked her Instagram. His eyes widened at the flood of intimate pictures.
"Too much," Bright agreed, his voice trailing off.
Win sighed, feeling the weight of the situation. "You need to be careful around her, Bright. She's not just a co-star; she seems obsessed."
Bright nodded, even though Win couldn't see him. "I will. Thanks for letting me know. I will handle it."
Win felt a little relieved but still unsettled. "Just make sure you keep your distance."
"Absolutely," Bright assured him. "And don't worry, you're the only one for me."
Hearing that, Win managed a small smile. "Alright. I'll try to get some sleep now."
"Good night, Win. Talk to you soon," Bright said softly.
"Good night," Win replied, finally feeling a bit of peace as he hung up the call.
After talking to Bright, Win felt a little better. It was Sunday, so he decided to stay in bed, but his mind kept replaying the kiss and bed scene from the trailer. "He looked so comfortable," Win thought. "If I were an actor, could I have done it? It's so intimate. Just thinking about someone moving their hands over me... I really can't do it."
