The next morning, the air was thick with unspoken words as Bright and Win stood in the bustling airport, saying their goodbyes to Grand Pa and Grand Ma. The elderly couple had embraced them both with a warmth that left a lingering comfort in their hearts.
"Come visit us soon, Bright," Grand Pa said with a soft smile, extending an invitation that felt more like a promise than a request. Bright nodded, his smile reflecting a silent understanding. Then, as if sealing the moment with a bond only the heart could understand, Grand Pa pulled Win into a hug, his voice a whisper meant only for his grandson's ears. "Take care, my son."
Win nodded, feeling the weight of his grandfather's words settle deep in his chest. Grand Pa turned to Bright, giving him a hug just as firm but with a different message. "Take care of my son," he murmured. Bright nodded solemnly, understanding the trust placed in him.
As the elderly couple disappeared into the airport, Win stared at the fading figures, his expression a mixture of emotions. Bright noticed and gently nudged him. "Are you upset?"
Win hesitated before replying, his voice tinged with a hint of longing. "No, it's just... they traveled so far. I wish they could have stayed longer."
Bright nodded, his brow furrowed with thought. "Maybe they left because of me," he said, a touch of guilt seeping into his tone.
"Or maybe they just wanted to give us some privacy," Win countered, his lips curving into a small smile. "I'll visit them soon."
Bright returned the smile, though his eyes held a shadow of worry. "Let's head to the hospital and get the vaccination done," he suggested, trying to shift the mood.
"Yeah," Win agreed, and they left the airport behind, moving on with the tasks of the day.
After the hospital visit, the silence of their home felt almost unnatural, as if the recent chaos had been a distant dream. They both collapsed onto the sofa, exhaustion pulling them into the cushions.
"We've been living like wild animals these past few days," Win remarked, his voice low and reflective.
"Tell me about it," Bright replied, snuggling closer to Win. "All I want to do is cuddle and sleep."
Win smiled, the tension easing from his shoulders. "There's still so much for you to see," he said, his voice filled with an underlying excitement.
Bright pulled out his phone, his fingers scrolling through notifications. "My song just hit 500K views," he announced, a note of pride in his voice.
"Let me see," Win said, grabbing his own phone. "Oh, look! You've got 1 million followers on social media!"
"What?" Bright's eyes widened in disbelief. "Show me!"
Win handed over his phone, and Bright quickly began scrolling through the comments. A smirk tugged at the corner of his lips as he noticed something. "They're shipping me with that actor," he said, amusement dancing in his eyes.
Win's smile faded slightly. "You think that's funny?"
Bright chuckled, sensing Win's unease. "Baby, it's all part of the industry. They do this to generate buzz. Just because people act together doesn't mean they're actually together. It's professional, and most of the time, it's just fans imagining things. You don't need to worry about it."
Win remained silent, his thoughts a tangled mess. Bright reached out, trying to comfort him, but Win stood abruptly. "I'm going to the gym. I need some space."
Bright watched him leave, a sigh escaping his lips. "He's such a kid sometimes. What am I going to do with him?"
In the gym, Win's mind raced as fast as his feet on the treadmill. "Why do I let this bother me?" he thought, frustration gnawing at him. "I know he's an actor, and I can't expect him to just focus on me... but it drives me crazy when he's paired with someone else."
