—I'm gonna be honest with you.  Aizetsu here is a sadist so I feel like he'd love having a darling that he can control. In idiot terms: he wants a weak human.

—while I don't really enjoy saying what gender a character is into, I do believe that Aizetsu along with other male demons prefer a woman as their lover. They have to reproduce over and over again before the demon slayers kill all of them off.

—Contrary to what most of the fandom believes, Aizetsu isn't sweet. He isn't loving. He isn't the most gentle either. He's a monster for a reason and we all know it. He's go for a woman who's in a bad mental state. While they're in that state, he has power over them. He can choose if he wants to treat you like a queen or treat you like absolute shit. One day, he'll treat you oh so gently but the next day, he'll degrade you and make your mental state worse. It makes him feel powerful for once since his brothers usually push him around. With this new human, he can do what he pleases and feel superior.
