Ugh look at me, the soulless flower scared of a little nightmare. In my defence, I'm more scared of the idea that manifested it in the first place. The idea that-
I get nightmares pretty often, which I'm guessing isn't that much of a shock, considering the things I've seen and done, and the general nature of my emotionless head. So I, from experience, know how to deal with them. I usually go on a walk so...that's the general plan for today.
I need to go to Hotland anyway to message Frisk and tell them to not worry about coming for a while, because I... I don't really want to see Frisk right now or anyone for that matter. Apart from maybe Sans but as I said... he's on his vacation with Papyrus and as much as I want to message him right now I don't want to bother him, because after everything he's done for me I owe him some space.
Alsoooo I have some online shopping stuff to pick up from the lift in Ruins, it's pretty annoying going to ruins, so I usually avoid Snowdin by taking a short cut underground (yeah the underground of the Underground...) Frisk had said it made the most sense to set it up there as it already had a hole anyway.
Still annoying though.
I grab my travel bag, and shove stuff in like water, food, a med kit... you get the idea. Now I'm guessing you're wondering, why would I need a med kit? Well let's just say I've been stupid enough to injure myself on one of the puzzles.
(Not a jigsaw, the one where you can get impaled by a spike)
Now I'm guessing you're thinking, surely they would've been deactivated right? Which yeah, you would be right. But the thing is some of them got sort of stuck on the "on" setting, by rust among other issues surrounding their age, not surprising considering how long they were activated for.
And I'm pretty sure Papyrus didn't think ahead enough to make the newer ones even have an "off" setting, because... well that's Papyrus for you. Also some of the Snowdin puzzles couldn't be fully disassembled. I was basically told to just, go around them. Which I'm incapable of doing apparently.
...So yeah, now I keep a med kit on me because I'm definitely not making that mistake twice.
Soon I find myself heading off into the New Home city. Every time I walk through here, I take a new route, because this place is huge, and I'm slowly exploring it all... I'm honestly happy I haven't fully seen everything here yet, because for a lot of the Underground, I've basically explored every nook and cranny. This time I walk down a street, it's lined with a set of shops, and then I see something in one of the fashion shop windows, its sign reading: "Clothing co". Wow. they are as bad as naming stuff as my da- Asgore.
I walk up to the glass pane and do the thing in the movies where you see your reflection but with the item overlapping it.
"Huh that actually works?...cool," I mutter at no one in particular.
I look at the reflection and admire the cowboy hat. It's an ashy brown colour with a round curved brim.
Yeah I need this.
I walk into the shop and look at the empty counter.
"Howdy nobody! I'm taking this hat, is that ok with you?" I say towards the counter in a jokey tone.I extend a vine and grab the hat from the display stand, before putting it on, adjusting it in one of the many standing mirrors. I grin slightly at my reflection and then look around the shop to see if there's anything else worth taking.
