"...So we just need to go down here and-" I pause my explanation and look at Jynx.

I sigh

"Jynx. don't eat that,"

"...Why?"  they say, confusion creeping into their voice.

"Well i could be wrong here but I'm guessing you probably don't like the taste of..." I pick up a pastry with one of my vines and rip it open to show its contents "...spiders"

Jynx's eyes immediately widen and they read the sign on the bake sale stand, not like they really needed that confirmation.

"...What?! Annoying dog...that's disgusting! Ew! Ew! Ew!" They shout and then throw the pastry they'd been holding across the room, I watch it hurtle through the air.

Splat!

"...Did you really have to do that?" I say with a smirk.

I look at the now stained wall and burst out laughing. ...How did I not think of trying this during all my resets?

"Yes...It got what it deserved." They say in a mock serious tone, which just makes me laugh more.

"Heh...you know I tried one once, they're actually not half bad," I say, waiting to see their reaction.

"...You're lying," they look unconvinced.

"Me lying, I would never," I say sarcastically putting one of my vines to where my soul should be.

They judge my expression and realise I'm being deadly serious.

"...Wait you're...you're not actually joking are you?"

"Nope."

"I...but...what..." they stutter before settling on, "Why?"

"Eh I was bored," I say calmly, I shrug with my vines.

"... that isn't a reason to do that," they pause, "if they're 'not half bad' then why don't you just have one right now?"they smirk at me.

Heh... they think I'm bluffing.

"Yeah ok," I mirror their smirk and pick up a pastry with a vine and take a bite out of it. Jynx turns away and gags.

"That. That is disgusting."

"What?! You told me to do it!"

"W-well... I didn't think you actually would,"

"Yeah, I kinda got that," I say, laughing slightly and take another bite and Jynx turns away.

"Okay okay you made your point,"

"Nah this isn't me making a point, this is me realising they are actually pretty decent,"

Jynx looks horrified before just putting their head in their hands.

Eventually we start moving again and we can see the entrance to the old spider lair thing in the distance, I turn towards Jynx.

"...Oh yeah you're not like...scared of spiders or anything right?"

"No of course not, that's why I threw that pastry across the room," they reply sarcastically.

"...yeah yeah I get your point, " I pause turning to Jynx "now as I see it we have two options here,"

"...What options?"
