...2 days later

"Nearly packed?" I call into the other room.

"Yeah... uh just five more minutes!" Jynx answers.

I sigh.

"...You know you said that five minutes ago right?"

There's a brief moment of silence.

"...well I actually mean it this time!"

"Yeah...sure you do," I call back smirking slightly.

I honestly don't even know if this is a delaying tactic or if they are actually still packing their stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if it is the later considering how many things Jynx has amassed this week.

But at the same time... I wouldn't be surprised if it is the forme either.

Eventually, after way more than five minutes, Jynx walks out wheeling a couple suitcases and a very bulky looking backpack.

"Well...That is a lot of stuff."  I comment.

"Oh really I had no idea," Jynx answers sarcastically.

"Well we better get going then," I say, gripping the handles of the suitcases with my vines.

"...Yeah" Jynx says nodding slightly but not really looking ready, even if they have everything sorted.

We start walking and I roll the suitcases with my vines. I guess Jynx is wasn't wrong about them being useful.

"How long till we get to the exit anyway," Jynx asks.

I tilt my head also wondering that myself.

"...usually I just pop underground to get to places so...I have no clue,"

"Helpful answer, thanks," they say sarcastically.

I shrug not really being bothered.

But then I have a light bulb moment.

"I...have an idea," I announce.

"Well... this can only be good," Jynx smirks.

"Obviously," I answer sarcastically.

"So what is it?" They ask, looking at me now, they're curiously seemingly growing.

"Well I was thinking we could do a bet on how long we think it takes for us to get to the exit from here, the closest wins,"

Their eyes light up at this suggestion.

"...that actually sounds fun,"

They pause.

"but...what would we actually bet? I mean it's not like we both have money,"

"Eh moneys boring anyway," I wave a dismissive vine. "how aboooooout... whoever guesses closest gets to choose what we do when you visit next?"
