I am not boring and don't even say that

Things here are getting... interesting to say the least. After I got to Transfiguration yesterday, Professor Umbridge started doing an audit on all of the faculty. She interrupted every single class for the rest of the day to take notes on my professors. I guess she thinks that Hogwarts isn't functioning properly, or something like that. To be honest, it's pretty annoying that she walks in here and acts like she owns the place.

Okay, to be fair, it's not like this school is exactly safe. Every year so far something extreme has happened. First year my friends stopped you-know-who from capturing the Sorcerer's stone, and almost died. None of us really knew what was going on, but we were all eleven, so thinking back on it that was actually pretty bad. Then second year poor little Ginny got a diary from Malfoy's dad (allegedly- ask Harry) and almost died until Harry fought this giant snake thing. Then third year Harry almost died from dementors, and an Azkaban escapee got into Hogwarts. Everything that year ended up okay, but it was scary for a bit. Oh, not to mention, Dumbledore hired a werewolf to teach us...

And last year when Cedric died. Yeah, this place is bad. I've never really thought of it. Since I was little I was always fighting monsters anyways, but I guess this place isn't the safest for students. Maybe Umbridge does have a point. Doesn't make her any less annoying.

Anyways, after all of that Umbridge just tried to kick Professor Trelawney off of school grounds earlier today. It's full blown nuts. All of us were gathered around the courtyard. I felt so bad for Trelawney, but Dumbledore intervened before it got too bad.

I'm now sitting in the common room with Harry, Ron and Hermione, as always.

"-She's taking over our entire school!" Hermione rants, pacing back and forth in front of the fireplace.

Ron and I share a concerned glance, sitting next to eachother on the couch. Harry is sitting in a chair looking rather depressed.

I look back at him and he turns up the crackling radio. Oh great, all we need is to worry about what the Ministry is saying after all of the nonsense they've already been spitting out.

We all listen in, and the Minister himself is claiming that disappearances are happening because of Sirius Black. I can't believe they're still blaming him after all this time.

Speaking of Sirius- his face just appeared in the fireplace. That happens sometimes. Still not too sure how he does it.

"Harry," he says roughly, crackling with the fire.

Harry immediately perks up and rushes over to the fire. "Sirius! What are you doing here?"

Sirius explains to us that the ministry doesn't want us to be trained to fight. He thinks that Dumbledore is forming an army to go against the Ministry. Like what even?

"Voldemort is on the move." Sirius says.

Seriously, this place is such a disaster. Feeling a bit... unsafe.

"For now... you're on your own." I hear Sirius finish the conversation. Wow, joyful.

We all stand, I have got to talk to Leo now. Hermione looks out the window. It's storming. Makes the environment much more eerie.

"He really is out there, isn't he?" She starts, scared, "We've got to be able to defend ourselves. And if Umbridge refuses to teach us we need someone who will." She turns to look at Harry.

"You're right Hermione," Ron agrees.

They all walk back to sit down, but I walk toward the stairs to my dormitory.

"I'm going to the Prefect's bathroom before my watch tonight, I'll see you guys later." I said, grimly. That conversation was dark.

They all nod, but Ron says, "Be safe on your watch, Lils."
