The ride back from Hogwarts was pleasant. I sat with Ginny, Hermione, Ron, and Harry. The weekend went by too quickly, everyone busy with holiday plans and packing.
Saturday morning, I was informed that Harry and Cho had kissed the night before, and that she was crying during it. Poor Harry's first kiss was full of tears. But he seemed thrilled about it. I spent extra time with Ginny that day.
Luckily, I didn't have to deal with any rumors about my own kiss because Draco had managed to bribe the portraits into not spreading the word of our little makeout session.
Saturday night, however, Harry had a dreadful nightmare about Mr. Weasley- which turned out to be true. He had been attacked at the Ministry and was now recovering. I was woken up with all of the Weasley children since I live with them. Ginny was terrified, but thankfully everything turned out okay.
Poor Harry is going through so much, I can see how miserable he is in his eyes. I am happy that he is coming back with us for the holidays.
I also was just informed that we weren't even going home, but rather to Sirius's old house, where the Order has been meeting. I am excited to see it for the first time.
Everyone was chatting about holiday plans when I decided to go say goodbye to Millicent and Theo, as I had promised.
"Hey, Gin. I'm going to say goodbye to Millicent, care to join me?" I ask, hopefully.
"Sure," Ginny says, standing to tag along. It made me happy that she was so open to getting along with my other friends.
We walked through the carriages, until we reached the Slytherin car. They were in a compartment similar to ours. It was Crabbe, Goyle, and Blaise in one car, whom I just waved to, and then Millicent, Theo, and Pansy in the other.
I slid open their compartment door, greeting them. "Hey guys, I just wanted to come say goodbye and I hope you have a nice holiday." I smiled at all of them, "Even you Pansy."
She gave me a fake smile, which made me laugh.
Millicent stood, giving me a hug, and then Ginny. "Write me," she said, "See you in the new year?"
I nod, saying goodbye to Theo as well. I look around the car before asking, "Where's Draco?"
Pansy of course felt the need to make a comment, "Wouldn't you like to know."
I rolled my eyes, ignoring her. I laughed when I saw Ginny giving her a hard glare.
"He should be back in a moment," Millicent said, "We can tell him you said goodbye if you'd like."
"Okay," I said, slightly disappointed.
"We can wait if it'll just be a moment," Ginny encouraged.
As soon as she said that I felt arms wrap around my shoulders and a kiss being planted on my cheek. My face turned red instantly.
I could practically see steam coming out of Pansy's ears, and Ginny and Millicent shared a high five.
"Come to see me?" He asks. Walking around me to enter the compartment.
"I was just coming to say goodbye to everyone," I say. "Write me," I tell him.
"No promises." He says, jokingly.
"Well, bye." I say, feeling awkward, unsure of how to leave him.
He chuckles, "See you in the new year, Gooden."
I smile, turning away to leave.
Ginny and I are almost out of the door when Theo says, "You're not going to kiss her?"
Silence fills the car, Draco and I looking between eachother trying to figure out which one of us told.
"Guys, I was just joking, jeez." He says, now discomfort laced in his voice. "It was just a joke."
I fake a laugh, and say, "Okay, bye everyone. Happy holidays."
"Happy holidays," they all reply.
As we're walking down the car back to our friends Ginny says, "What was all that about?"
"What?" I ask.
"You two look awfully comfortable, then you got all weird when Theo asked if he was going to kiss you. Is there something you're not telling me?" She asks me, curiously.
"We've got all holiday to catch up, Gin." I say, slinging my arm around her and heading back to our compartment.
