On Friday I had finally felt at peace. I got a good sleep after my Prefect duty the night before, which trust me, was much needed. I attended my classes, spent time with Fred and George, and was getting ready for a relaxing weekend.
I had just changed into comfy clothes after my last class, and headed to the library to meet my friends before dinner. I'm not sure why they were asking to meet, but I've learned to just go along with it after all these years.
I strolled into the library, and walked all the way to the back to where Ron, Hermione, and Harry were sitting. They had been talking about assembling trustworthy students to prepare them for what might come, and it seemed that this was a meeting regarding that.
When I arrived, Hermione had a list of names in front of her. She was reading them aloud as the boys would respond "yes" or "no" or some explanation of why we should never trust that person. Right now, they were on "Cho Chang".
"Yes." Harry said immediately.
We all looked at him with knowing smiles, he blushed but continued, "Come one guys, she's an obvious pick. She cared for Cedric and a friend of Cedric is a friend of mine."
We all nodded with no further debate.
We continued through the list, hesitating on people like Seamus or Dean, who seemed to go against Harry earlier this year.
The outcome of our discussions was that we will gather everyone at Hogsmeade next weekend and get a feel for who is interested in learning from Harry. We'll see how that goes.
They all got up to go to dinner, but I told them that I would catch up with them soon. I really wanted to go talk to Leo. They told me that they would save me a seat and we all departed from the library.
I walked to the Prefect's bathroom, and made sure the coast was clear before sitting in my usual corner and setting up the Iris message.
As soon as I saw his face I lit up in a smile. "Leo!"
"Well look who finally decided to call." Leo teased. I totally forgot that I told him I would call the last time after we talked. I hadn't even told him about the sleepover disaster yet. I don't even know if I should.
"I'm sorry, this week has been so chaotic. But tell me everything, what's new?"
"Not much, Sunshine," he smiles brightly. It looks like he's working in Bunker 9. Bunker 9 is a huge bunker that Leo discovered when he came to camp. He was the first Hephaestus kid to find it in like- ages. It was kind of a big deal. Anyways, now the Hephaestus kids use it to work on their projects and as a hangout spot.
"Hey, Will! Lilia's on Iris message." I hear one of the campers say in the background. Oh finally, I've been needing to talk to him forever.
I see Will stomp into frame. "I expect an explanation." He huffs at me.
"An explanation?" I ask, oblivious to what this even means.
"For not calling me. You have called Valdez like four times since you left and you haven't even written me a letter? Your own brother?" Will demands.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. This year has been so chaotic but I'm coming home for Thanksgiving! So I'll see you soon!" I say, trying to ease his frustration.
He smiles, but then looks at Leo who doesn't look surprised at all and scrunches his face. "You seriously told him before me? I'm disowning you."
"I'm sorryyyyyy, I've barely even had the time to talk to Leo anyways." I apologize.
"Yeah, seriously dude. She's always running off somewhere." Leo agrees.
"Well now we've got to run off. I actually came out here to tell Leo that Chiron is looking for him." Will says.
