20th March 2023

today i am at the BBC Lounge doing a performance of Outrageous.. and doing a couple of covers.

the covers will be compressed into a audio version and be uploaded onto spotify and apple music, for my fans to entertain themselves with until my album comes later on in the summer.
and, i have a little surprise for my fans too during the bbc lounge session which i am really excited for.
the surprise is niall horan is joining me for two songs, we are going to perform our collaboration together called 'Our Song' which i absolutely love.
then i am going to perform his song 'put a little love on me' with him, while he plays the piano.
Put A Little Love On Me is one of my cover songs i am singing.
The setlist for the bbc lounge looks like this;
- Outrageous (Me)
- Right Now (One Direction)
- I'd Rather Go Blind (Etta James)
- Resentment (Beyoncé)
- Broken Hearted Girl (Beyoncé) <niall on the piano>
- Put A Little Love On Me
- Our Song

i've already performed outrageous and now i'm changing set real quickly to a more toned down set, with a piano in the background, that will be used for when niall comes out later on in the set.

i am now performing Right Now, by one direction, one of my favourite songs of all time.
i thought i'd pay the 1D boys some homage, seen as though if it wasn't for louis and zayn i wouldn't even be a performer. i owe my career to them!

so i made sure i did the song justice for them, especially zayn's parts.

ironically growing up, zayn was my vocal inspiration, you've gotta remember, i was 7 years old when they got put together.
i was able to be in the generation of one direction, got to see them at every stage of their 5 year career.
the beginning, their prime, and the end.
well, they never really had a prime, did they?
they skyrocketted to fame once they left the xfactor in 2010 and was still worldwide famous with an incredibly successful 5th album when they decided to go on their 'hiatus'. a hiatus that turned out to be them splitting up, essentially. it was just a nicer way of breaking it to the fans that they were separating.

while i sang the chorus i made sure to reach all of zayn's notes with ease, knowing he'll see this. knowing the world will see it.

i then sang my next three songs, one by Etta James, another vocal inspiration of mine.
and then two songs by Queen Bey, who of course, as you all know, is my biggest inspiration.

"i'd like to introduce you to somebody who means so much to me, an absolute icon, and arguably one of my greatest mentors." i began to introduce him
"i've loved him since i've been 7 years old, i know you shouldn't have favourites when supporting a group but.. he was definitely in my top 2" i laughed as i introduced him, and looked over at the piano where he was sat

"niall horan" i nod over at him and he had the biggest smile, he nodded back to me as a thanks, and then slowly started playing the piano.

he began singing his song, Put A Little Love On Me. he sang his first verse, pre chorus and the course.

he nodded at me with a encouraging smile as he played the piano and i sang the second verse

"we wrote and we wrote
until there were no more words
we laughed and we cried until we saw our worst" i nodded at niall as i sung, i was sat with him on the piano bench as he played away
the melody was imprinted in his brain, so he didn't need to look at the keys when playing, he was just watching me instead while i sung into my hand held microphone

"is it wrong that i still wonder where you are
is it wrong that i still don't know my heart" i sang passionately as i patted just above my heart on my chest

the tears began to form in my eyes
i loved this song so much and it got me through so much when it was released 3 years ago now.

i sing the pre chorus and the chorus on my own.
