Chapter Twenty-Six

I sat up and tried to climb over In-Yeop before he grabbed my hips keeping me still, I sucked in my breath before glancing at him.

"Where are you going?" He asked.

"Happy birthday, I have a gift for you." I smiled.

He groaned.

"No more gifts, I didn't even get you anything." He sighed.

"Well my birthday was a shit show." I giggled.

"Just stay here for a moment." He mumbled.

"I mean this would be comfortable if you weren't poking me." I mumbled.

He opened his eyes and looked at me. Don't read his mind, don't read his mind. He cleared his throat before removing me.

"Since you've woken me up at the ass crack of dawn. What is this gift you call upon?" He asked sarcastically.

I smacked his arm causing him to laugh. I placed the box in his lap before I nervously bit my lip.

"Hurry up and open it." I said.

"Ok, damn you just placed it in my hands." He chuckled.

He opened the box and smiled, I saved up all my allowance for this.

"My mother always said a man who wears a watch was time efficient and if a man is time efficient then he's about his business." I explained.

"I love it, thank you." He said placing the watch on.

"I'm glad you like it." I smiled.

He pulled me onto his chest and pecked my lips multiple times.

"Ash was mad at me." He said.

His grip on my waist grew tighter causing me to smile.

"What did you do?" I asked.

"Well, he hasn't spent much time with you since the auditorium." He said.

"Yeah it has been a while, I have a question." I said.

He raised a brow and looked at me suspiciously.

"What is it?" He asked.

"How do you and Ash communicate?" I asked.

"Hmm, it's like one body two minds type of situation. We communicate mentally, more when I'm in wolf form." He said.

"So in the auditorium what were you guys talking about?" I asked sitting up.

He placed his hands behind his head and looked at me. My eyes trailed from his to his lips, to his jaw line...damn he was fine.

"We were going back and forth, I tried to calm him down but Ash will be...Ash." He trailed glancing at me.

I cleared my throat before removing myself off of his lap.
