Sage Taylor

I walked downstairs and looked at my siblings who were sitting in the living room, they all gathered around the table fixing decorations. I mentally rolled my eyes, they know I do not like celebrating my birthday.

"Uh hi." I mumbled.

"Good morning, and happy birthday." Sylvia smiled standing.

"Finally 18." Saint said embracing me in a hug.

"Thank you." I chuckled.

"How are you feeling?" Sylvia asked.

"I'm ok, after a much needed shower. I'm fine...I just want to know how this works." I said.

"And we are here to help." Sylvia smiled.

"All of us." In-Yeop added.

I smiled.

"Where's dad?" I asked.

"I'm here, I see you're up." He smiled coming out the kitchen.

He pulled me into a tight hug and let out a breath of relief.

"I'm glad you're ok." He said.

"Me too." I said.

"Your mother left me this...for you. She must've known something I didn't." He chuckled.

He passed me an old journal before I looked at him.

"What is this?" I asked.

"Her journal entries, it's filled with when she first transformed. I figured this will help you along the way." He said.

"Thank you dad." I smiled.

"She read my mind earlier." In-Yeop blurted out.

"Oh my god." I groaned.

"Really?" Sylvia asked.

"Mhm." He nodded.

I sat down as I watched them interact with one another and smiled.

"It wasn't that serious." I sighed.

"You're literally the only person in our family who can read minds." Saint said.

"I mean, I guess it is kind of cool." I laughed.

"Damn right." Sylvia smiled.

"So what now?" I asked.

"We train you to manage your powers responsibly." Dad said.

I nodded.

"I know how much you hate training but it's for your own good. We don't want you to hurt others or yourself." Sylvia said.

"I understand." I smiled.

I locked eyes with In-Yeop and smiled.
