Bondita hesitantly stepped inside the bedroom, her heart fluttering in her chest.
The way her patibabu subtly told her that he would teach her everything practically written in that book did something to her. She felt giddy, nervous, and all kinds of other mixed emotions swirling inside her.
The moment she stepped inside, she found Anirudh standing in front of the mirror, trying to wipe his wet hair, having just gotten out of the shower.
Droplets of water glistened on his skin, and the cool evening breeze wafted through the open window, carrying the faint scent of jasmine.
Anirudh noticed her and said, "Bondita, can you please wipe my hair for me?"
She nodded, her voice barely a whisper. "Sit on the bed."
He obliged her and sat on the bed, handing her the towel. She took it, her fingers brushing against his, sending a shiver down her spine, and started wiping his hair. The softness of his hair and the warmth of his scalp under her touch made her heart race.
"What made you take a shower after dinner? You usually take one before dinner," she couldn't help but ask, her curiosity getting the better of her.
A deep sigh escaped his lips. "What can I do? I have to work with cold showers only."
"Cold showers?" she furrowed her brows in confusion. "You could have told me, Koyeli Didi, or Bhari babu if you wanted warm water. Why would you take cold showers?"
Anirudh's lips curved into a smile at her innocence. "Your Koyeli Didi or Bhari babu cannot help me. But you definitely can help me."
She finally finished wiping his hair, her mind still trying to piece together his words. "I don't understand, Patibabu."
All of a sudden, he grabbed her hand and pulled her into his lap. "I want to make you understand, Bondita." He caressed her cheeks, his touch gentle yet firm, looking straight into her eyes. "It's your fault that I have to take cold showers at odd times, so you have to solve this."
A gasp escaped her lips as her eyes widened in realization. She could feel her cheeks burning up, her thoughts racing.
She had read that in that novel the male lead took cold showers when he was sexually frustrated or turned on... Did Anirudh mean that?
As if reading her mind, he made her lie on the bed and leaned toward her, keeping his arms on either side so that she couldn't escape. "Yes. I mean that," he breathed out in a raspy voice, before placing his lips over her soft ones, igniting a spark that set her entire being ablaze.
Bondita's mind spun as Anirudh's lips moved over hers, their kiss deepening with each passing moment. His hands, warm and firm, cradled her face, his thumbs brushing against her cheeks.
She felt a surge of emotions she couldn't quite name, but the intensity of it all made her heart race even faster.
Anirudh's lips trailed from her mouth down to her jawline, planting gentle kisses along the way. He nibbled lightly at her earlobe, causing her to gasp.
"Were all these written in that novel you were reading, Bondita?" he whispered, his breath hot against her ear.
Her cheeks flushed a deeper shade of red. She tried to look away, but his lips were on her neck now, leaving a trail of love bites that made her shiver.
"Patibabu..." she murmured, her voice trembling.
He chuckled softly against her skin. "You used to read that novel with such a straight face," he teased, moving back to look into her eyes. "I never thought it was filled with such... 'Love and Lust,' was it?"
