After a long day, Anirudh stepped inside the courthouse with a tired sigh.

A few barristers quietly greeted him on the way, still slightly surprised seeing him around court again after so long. That too twice in a day!

He merely gave brief nods before walking toward his old cabin.

Toward Bondita.

The same cabin which once had two desks.

His large desk near the window. And a smaller one placed beside it for Bondita.

But now—only one desk remained.

His.

Occupied by Bondita.

Files were scattered around the table while Bondita sat focused, listening carefully to her client with complete seriousness.

The sight softened Anirudh's expression slightly.

Without realizing it himself, he had slowly given every part of that cabin to her.

First the smaller desk.

Then the shelves.

Then his chair.

And now, the entire space somehow carried Bondita's presence more than his own.

A faint smile almost appeared on his lips as he quietly opened the cabin door as it was after office hours but froze instantly.

His entire body went still.

Bondita looked up from the papers. "Patibabu, you came—"

But Anirudh wasn't looking at her.

His eyes were fixed on the woman sitting across from Bondita.

Saudamini.

The smile vanished from his face completely.

Suddenly, memories crashed into him.

Little Bondita crying. Heeramandi. Bondita drugged and terrified. Him desperately searching for her like a madman.

His jaw tightened painfully.

"What is SHE doing here?" Anirudh's voice came out dangerously calm.

Bondita instantly noticed the shift in him. "Patibabu—"

Saudamini slowly stood up from the chair.

Gone was the graceful, proud Saudamini everyone once knew.

The woman standing there now looked weak. Small. Her saree was simple and slightly worn out, her face pale, eyes swollen from crying for days.

But none of it softened Anirudh. Not after what she had done.

"You have the audacity to come near my wife again?" he spat out coldly.

Saudamini visibly flinched.

Bondita quickly stood up too. "Patibabu, please calm down—"

"Calm down?" he laughed humorlessly, his eyes never leaving Saudamini. "Do you even remember what she did to you?"

Saudamini lowered her gaze in shame.

For once, she had no manipulations left. No pride. Only guilt.

"Get out," Anirudh muttered coldly.

Saudamini's trembling fingers tightened around the edge of her saree.

But before she could move, Bondita stepped in front of her slightly.
