"Chameli, is everything okay?" Keth asked as he got out of the bathroom after freshening up.
He remembers he had promised all the comfort to Chameli before Bondita's accident and he was sticking to his words. He let her handle everything. But now Bondita was okay, so everything should be given back to Bondita.
"Yes..." she said, her gaze lowered.
"Toh phir, now that Bondita is awake, don't even try to take her position, okay? She will do the puja. She will handle everything. I don't want to hear anything regarding that," he said sternly.
Chameli put on a tight-lipped smile. Of course, again, everything will go to Bondita. But she was glad that Anirudh or anyone else didn't tell Keth about her pushing Bondita in anger. If Keth learned, he would hit her the way he did with Mala after learning Barsha was the one who did Bondita's first accident when she couldn't submit her first petition on polygamy.
Anirudh had no idea about the domestic violence Mala faced as he was only focused on Bondita, and Trilochan stayed quiet because it was related to Bondita, and he never liked Mala anyway. After being heartbroken that Mala knew everything yet didn't stop her mother, Keth was very disappointed and packed his bags and left. Nobody knew Mala was equally involved, as when Barsha's truth came out, Mala threw her mother under the bus and said she was threatened to do so by her mother.
Besides, Chameli was the one who exposed Barsha, so she earned everyone's trust at that time.
Suddenly there was a small knock on the door. After Keth ordered to come inside, the door opened gently and Mala was standing there, playing with her fingers nervously.
"What do you want?" Keth let out sharply, not even wanting to see her.
"Ji... woh..." Mala knew it was her chance to mend everything and be on top again like before, suppressing Chameli. She only had to win Keth's forgiveness and her Anirudh babu already forgave her so if she told him to talk to Keth, then it would be a win-win for her. "Aapke liya khaana garam kardu?"
"Chameli kar degi," was what he said and closed the door on her face.
Mala clenched her fist in anger. She decided to go talk to Anirudh.

"Patibabu, do you think we should inform Kakasasurji about Saudamini Didi?" Bondita asked as she was sitting on the couch of the study, taking a sip of coffee. She felt like drinking one even though it was night time.
Anirudh took a sip of his coffee and shook his head in denial. "Saudamini is a client. I don't think we ever told Kaka about the cases we deal with. So let's treat it like that, okay? Besides, Kaka will never let us fight this case if he learned it."
She nodded, understanding it. "But... it's going to be my first case officially. Usually, I would be your assistant and work under you. Kakasasurji might ask what the case is about."
He could feel his chest filling with pride at her words. Obviously, it was her first case. And he was proud to be her assistant. Even though he was hella scared due to it being related to heeramandi.
"If Kaka asks, we will break it down to him slowly, okay? Once we start the case, we can tell him. So that if he tells us to back off, we will say we can't."
"That sounds good," she agreed. Then an excited smile appeared on her face. "Patibabu, I am so excited, our whole family will have breakfast together tomorrow after a long time." And instantly her smile faltered.
"What happened, Bondita?" he asked curiously.
"Batuk... isn't here."
Anirudh's face fell upon hearing Batuk's name. He closed his eyes and let out an exhasperated sigh. "I was quite harsh when he was about to leave. Now, he doesn't contact anyone."
