Jade was sitting in the shuttle stop, while Angel waited with her, watching her gently. She had been kidnapped a few months ago and forced into a fighting ring-type situation. There, she had also been forcefully injected with a power that didn't fully agree with her body. She had what resembled a radio power, though she still couldn't control it now, and it had almost gotten them kicked off the shuttle. One of the few good things that had come with the whole thing was they had found a way to remove the tumor in her brain that would kill her, and actually let her make friends before being ripped away forcefully by her dad. Unfortunately, that's exactly what happened again when she was rescued. The foster families in the area of Seattle didn't want her, because of the power she had and the wee things she had done in the past. She, for the most part, had blown up and killed the majority of the population of the school, tricked one girl accidentally into drinking drain cleaner, and shot two boys when she thought they sexually harassed her girlfriend. The boys didn't, they had just been drunk and were being stupid, but the mean girl of the school had blown it up into a terrible rumor. She should be in jail, or dead now, but because of what she had gone through at the dog fight, and the lawyer they had given her managed to get her out on a very restrictive warning system, she was allowed a second chance. She had three strikes, if she got caught fighting someone with no good reason three times, she'd be sent to jail. This also meant she wasn't allowed to have a driver's license until she was 21, she was never allowed to drink even when she gets of age, and she couldn't smoke or do any form of drugs, legal or illegal.
She sighs softly, gazing at the ground. Angel, who had let her stay with her and her family temporarily, had taken her down to Hoquiam where a foster family was going to adopt her. The family was one of Angel's older sisters, and they usually specialized in witness protection kids, but they'd made an exception. The only other family that would have taken her was all the way over in New York. The family she was going to had 1 other kid, a girl about the same age as her, but had been held back a grade because of some mental issues she had. Jade had also been held back because she skipped school a year, most of the time she was at dog fight and the few months before.
She still had her friends from Seattle's phone numbers, but she didn't have a phone herself. She had been staying by herself at a small apartment that she had paid for herself through a job she had had. When she was kidnapped, the rent went unpaid and she lost everything she had owned, and the landlord sold everything when she wasn't there for 3 months to pay for the damages. She only had the things that dog fight had given her, which wasn't a lot.
Angel was watching her gently and said softly "I'm sorry we couldn't take you, Jade. Lucious thought it would be too dangerous for you to be around though, with James, Caden, and Everly being there." She explained softly.
Jade looked at her but gave a weak smile "I know, it's okay Angel... thank you for letting me stay with you guys until your sister's family could take me." She said, gazing at her gently.
Angel watched and gave her a sympathetic smile. She checked her phone and said "She arrived here just now. Her and her husband should be down here shortly to get you. I don't know if-" she gets cut off.
In a split second, a girl popped up behind Jade, seemingly out of nowhere, and said "Hello!!! Are you Jade? You're sitting with Auntie Angel, you must be he- why are you on the ground?"
Jade had practically jumped out of her seat and fallen on the ground, scrambling away startled, her hair frizzing up as her power activated, causing flickering figures to appear all over the shuttle station, radio buzzing noises sounding in any way in the station, which was a big herself, Angel, and this new girl.
The new girl quickly jumped over the bench, dropping next to her gripping Jade's wrist "Hey it's okay! I didn't mean to frighten you! Are you okay??????"
