After everyone had left, Jade and Leppy helped Molly finish cleaning up after dinner, mostly scrubbing down the counters and wiping down the table and putting up the leftovers while Jacob worked on washing off the dishes.
After everything was cleaned up Leppy grins and said, "I'm going to go find something okay? It's something I'm wanting you to check out! I'll be back in a bit okay?" she said, but before Jade could answer she had already darted up the stairs to do it.
Jade blinks, hesitating and sighs, "I- okay. Not sure how long a bit is for you though."
Molly watched before going over and offering Jade her phone, "Would you like to call your friend now? Since Leppy's busy, and you asked to earlier."
Jade blinks, looking to her uncertain before nodding and saying, "If that's okay, thank you Molly." she said softly watching her, carefully taking her phone.
Molly watched and smiles before hugging her gently, "Of course! Enjoy talking with your friend, just give my phone back once your done okay? The password is 5002910, alright?"
Jade listens, repeating the password to herself before nodding and smiling softly, "Alright then, thank you! I will, I'll be back soon." she said softly as she hugged Molly back. When Molly walked off to talk to Jacob in the living room, Jade went upstairs, sitting on the floor next to her bed. She hesitated thinking, before checking the book, reading over Estelle's phone number. She then unlocked Molly's phone and typed in Estelle's number hesitantly pressing the call button hoping she'd punched it in correctly.
After a few rings, Estelle answers the phone "hello?" She responds.
Jade listens, becoming nervous with each ring hugging her knees. When she answered she smiled softly and said "H-hi Estelle, it's me, Jade?"
"Oh hey jade! How are you adjusting?" Estelle asked, her voice more cheerful then her hello.
Jade listens and smiles softly "I think I'm adjusting okay, it's very different here though. Molly and Jacob are really nice too, I was a bit nervous about them at first though, same with Leppy... it's kinda weird technically having a sister now... how have things been with you?"
"Ehh, tagging places for cash, avoiding the cops, ratting out scumbag corporations, you know, the usual!" Jade could hear the faint sound of spray paint from Estelle, likely graffiting a building.
Jade listens and smiles softly "I'm guessing that's where you are now?"
"Yep! This one's a daycare that's been embezzling funds and not taking care of the kids." Estelle sounds pretty mad at that last part.
Jade listens and said "...How soon can the cops have that place shut down?"
"At the very least a week, at the most a month or two."
Jade listens and nods quietly "I'm hoping it's just a week, that place sounds awful!"
"Yeah, and the worst part is that's where Sparkle went before we got her in school." Estelle has pure hatred in her voice, and finished spray painting.
Jade listens seeming to freeze. After a few seconds she just went "WHAT?!"
"Yeah! We had her there for about a year before she was old enough for school, and she literally just told me this morning about everything they did to the kids there!"
Jade listens and said "The place needs to burn to the ground at this point for what they've done?"
"Yep, that's the plan once it's vacated."
