Jade looked up, feeling the van pull into the house. It was a small two-story house, though it was still a decent-sized. As the car parked in the garage, she noticed that there was a lot, and she meant a lot, of what she was pretty sure was spray paint, behind something covered with a tarp. She wanted to ask about it but decided against it.

As the engine turned off, Molly and Jacob got out of the front seat. Jade unbuckled her seat belt, she had only used one, but within a second Leppy was at her door even though she had had both seat belts buckled. She was grinning and bouncing a bit.

Jade just stared at her in confusion as she got out of the van "How'd you get out of the van so fast? How did I not hear you even leave the van?"

Leppy grins and giggles before whispering in her ear "I'll tell you later tonight when mom and dad have gone to bed." She said before backing away and smiling at her.

Jade listens, forcing her eyes to not narrow suspiciously before she nods quietly. She walked over to Jacob, taking her suitcase from him quietly.

Jacob and Molly didn't seem to have seen the exchange between her and Leppy, and Jacob nodded "Come on, we'll take you to your room" he said before leading her into the house. It went straight into the living room, before going up the stairs.

There were about 7 rooms in total. There was the master one at the end, then 6 other rooms, 3 on each side. She was taken to the one on the left side of the hall at the end. The one right across from hers was Leppy's room.

Molly smiles gently opening the door and leading Jade inside the room, "This will be your room, okay? I know it's pretty empty right now, but I'm sure you'll find a way to decorate it to your liking!" She said smiling at her gently. She paused, watching Jade look around quietly before asking softly, "Would you like any help? Or would you like to be left alone with your thoughts?" She asked watching gently.

Jade walked in, looking around quietly, a bit uncertain. She looked at Molly, hesitating before saying softly "I don't have a lot, I don't really need any help," she said softly watching her quietly.

Molly watched her gently and nodded, "Alright, I'll ask Leppy to give you some space then." She went to leave, pausing at the door before looking at Jade and said softly "We're glad to have you as part of our family, Jade." She said softly, before leaving, closing the door.

Jade watched her leave, before sighing, setting the suitcase down. She felt like slumping to the floor and pretending she didn't exist for a few hours or going back to Seattle where she had friends. But, instead, she was starting over again. A new home. A new school. A new town. The only new thing that she wasn't used to being new was the family.  Molly and Jacob were really nice for even attempting to have her. Leppy though... she got mixed vibes from her already. She reminded her a bit of her ex-girlfriend's new girlfriend, a girl named Petal, because of just how friendly and excited Leppy was being with her. But at the same time, how did she sneak up on her so easily? How was she able to get out of the van and close the door without anyone noticing? And why did she remind her of a huge puppy? She'd never seen anyone that tall!

Jade sighed and shook her head to clear her thoughts. She shouldn't dwell on this so much, and besides, she just barely met Leppy, she'd have time to get those answers later, unless Molly and Jacob suddenly decided they didn't want her that is. She opened her suitcase quietly, starting to organize the few things she had. The room itself had a closet, a twin-sized bed, a dresser, and a desk next to the bed which also had a lamp on it.

Inside her suitcase, she had clothes on the bottom, all of which were the ones that the people who kidnapped her had given her, some of which didn't even fit her. On top of the clothes was a book full of pictures Everly had made for her, a lot of which had pictures of her friends who were back in Seattle, the ones who had been in Dog Fight with her. After that, there were a couple of strips of pictures from photobooths, back from when she and Everly were dating. On top, was a goodbye card Angel had sent her off with, after getting some of her friends to sign. She also had a small roll of tape she could use to tape up decorations, and a pair of handcuffs the police had forgotten to take away from her after her court dates.
