When they got back to their lockers to put their things up and grab their wet clothes to take him, Evermore and Joseph were there talking about something.

When Evermore noticed he smiled and waved softly, "Hey! How was detention? I heard Cameron's been given the class considering 99% of the time it's one of us in there for one thing or another."

Leppy smiled and said, "It was okay, Cameron introduced Jade to the magical world of duck song. And also she hates What Does the Fox Say."

Jade whispered, "I don't hate it Leppy, I just..." She stopped, looking away unable to say the words.

Joseph watched gently before gently putting a hand on her shoulder, "Hey, it's okay. You can tell us whenever you are ready to."

Evermore watched before blinking, "Oh, we almost forgot! The injection thing! Do you think we still have time to do that today or?" He asked watching them.

Jade watched, uncertain, before saying softly, "Could... could we do it tomorrow or something? I'm... I'm not up to it anymore, not right now." She said softly.

Evermore watched, a bit concerned, but nodded gently, "Of course, whenever you're ready for it, that's perfectly fine."

Leppy watched her worried, before hugging her gently with one arm, "Come on, let's get you home, okay? Maybe if we get there a few minutes before it's time for the doctor's appointment."

Jade listened, watching her, finding it a bit odd for her to not be smiling and bouncing, but nodded quietly understanding, "Alright then... bye Evermore, Joseph. See you tomorrow!" She said softly, Leppy waving goodbye as well before leading her out of school.

When they got back into the golf cart, Jade putting on her seatbelt, Leppy spoke softly, "Jade? Are you okay? Like, really okay? I know you say you are, but something about you says otherwise." She said as she put her seatbelts on.

Jade blinked, looking at her before saying softly, "I don't know... I just, I know I'm safe here, that I won't be forced to leave again, but... I don't know..." she said softly, her gaze slowly drifting away from her again.

Leppy watched her worried as she turned on the cart, worried. "We're sneaking out of the house tonight. I want you to meet someone, I think she could help you, okay?"

Jade gazed at her, worried, "Leppy we'll get in trouble if we sneak out. Is the person even trustworthy? Why are we going to her? How would she be able to help me?" She asked softly, uncertain about getting even more help compared to the help she was already getting from just being around Leppy and her friends and Molly and Jacob.

Leppy nods and smiles, "She's one of the older siblings from the lab I came from! She escaped after she turned 18, not before they did something to her. She's a psychiatrist and she can help us make your power officially a disability so the stupid teachers stop discriminating against you!" She said, pulling out of the student parking lot and driving home.

Jade listened and said softly, "Leppy it's only the first day, it's fine. I just, have to convince them to not give me detention every time my-"

"Jade, they don't care. The only way is to either sue the school so they get rid of the rule which Dad has been trying to do for years it isn't working, or do this. There are only 4 teachers in that entire school that turn a blind eye to the rule and that's the Sculpting teacher, the Swim Couch, the school nurse, and the painting teacher. The rest are complete jerks and don't listen even IF it's reasonable as to why you were using your power." Leppy said, frowning at her, looking at her as they reached a stop sign.
