Virgo
Virgo was sitting outside the fitting room as he waited for Libra.Summer was coming imminently and they both had thought it was a good time to go shopping.
At least, Libra did. He didn't mind using last year's clothing.
His girlfriend suddenly walked out in a lavender sundress.
She beamed as she twirled around.
Virgo was stunned. "You look... gorgeous." He told her. He then got up and lightly kissed her.
"Wait." She told him before turning around. "Can you check the price?"
He took a look at the tag attached to the back of the dress.
"$285!" He gasped, nearly tumbling behind. "Is the dress made of gold or something?!"
"Seriously!" Libra exclaimed. "I'm taking it off right now!"
She swiftly turned her heels back to the dressing room.
Virgo sighed. He hated being unable to buy her nice things. He hated that he could do anything for her.
He watched as she got out and disappointedly left the dress on a rack.
"Should we get out of here?" She asked him.
He smiled at her and grabbed her hand. "Sure."
Fingers intertwined in each others, they walked to the parking lot.
Though they were unable to buy anything, it was still a sweet outing together.
Virgo got into the car and buckled up only to find out Libra didn't do the same.
"Babe, aren't you getting in?" He asked her.
"Wait here. And don't follow me." She ordered before running back to the entrance.
He was confused. What the hell could she be planning?
Still, he waited for her. She probably just forgot something.
That's what he thought at first, but as the clock ticked by, his concerns grew and he couldn't help but wonder what she was scheming.
Tired of worrying for her, Virgo decided to get out of the car and search for her.
Just as he got out, the blond silhouette he was looking for was in his sight.
She held a small red box with a bow on it.
She ran panting towards him before handing him the gift and dropping her hands on her knees as she desperately tried to catch her breath.
"What is this?" Virgo questioned her.
"Open it."
He did as he was told and uncovered the lid, revealing the present.
Chocolate.
"I saw your face earlier. With the dress. Don't beat yourself up too much." She comforted him with a smile.
Libra's intentions might have been to keep him from feeling bad, but little did she know, she had instead caused him to do something stupid.
...
Libra
Two weeks later, Libra waited for Virgo on the front porch. He told her he had something to give her and she couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't right.A car parked right in front and her boyfriend walked out with a bag in hand.
He gave her smile and handed her the bag.
"Open it." He told her.
So she did. She took out the piece of fabric which revealed to be the lavender dress.
She immediately shoved it back in the bag before turning her attention back to him.
"What is this?" She questioned him perplexed.
"It's the dress you wanted." He answered innocently, still not comprehending the situation.
"I know what it is! What I mean is, how did you afford it?" She asked again.
This time, Virgo did not answer. He, instead, shifted his gaze away from her. This was enough for her to realize what he had done.
"Please, please, please tell me you didn't do anything stupid." She pleadingly looked at him.
"I don't know what you're talking about." He feign ignorance before hugging her from behind and kissing her on the cheek.
But Libra wanted answers. Knowing the only way was to show him how serious she was, she pushed him away before glaring at him dumbfounded.
"Virgo." She sternly called out. "What did you do?"
Her boyfriend sighed.
"I made a drug deal. They offered me five thousands so I took it." He explained. He then pointed at a duffle in the car. "The rest of the money is in there. I'm going to give it to Aries."
"Unbelievable!" Libra shouted. She shoved the dress back in his hands and went back into the house, slamming the door behind her.
In despair, Virgo followed her inside.
"I'm sorry, Lib. I swear, I was desperate."
"Well, maybe find another method next time." She scolded him though she still refused to spare a single glance at him.
"I did it for you!" He defended himself, still following her, step by step.
"Stop!" She shouted at the top of her lungs.
Libra violently turned back, finally looking at him. "When are you going to learn that I don't care for such things."
"I-"
"Don't even try." She shushed him in a fury. "I did not date you because I was materialistic. I dated you because I loved you. Because even though you act tough, you are this sweet guy who cherishes me. I love the amount of effort you put in our relationship even though I know is hard for you."
She took a deep breath before continuing. "Stop risking your entire future for something so small. Because it'll be hard for you to love me if you're far away and in jail."
Virgo simply nodded. He didn't exactly know how to react to her words.
He dropped the dress in front of her.
"Keep it he said." He said.
Libra shook her head. She didn't want to keep something so risky.
"Libra. Keep it. The store has a no return policy."
