𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 16

𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Cole's apartment

I arrived at Cobham an hour late. Not because I spent ages getting ready but I was trying to cover my neck with makeup. Cole and I got heated last night, completely forgetting he had training the next day and we both have some marks left on eachother. I gave up trying to hide it and decided to blame it on a curling iron burn. I knew it wasn't realistic but I don't think any of the guys knew what a curling iron burn looked like unless they had girlfriends, which I don't think I do.

I fixed my hair before getting out of Maya's car as she had dropped me off before whizzing off to run some errands. That girl has to stop speeding, I feel the need to grip my seat everytime we go round a roundabout as it feels like we go round on two wheels. I pulled my hair so it rested on my shoulders, covering my neck.

I walked upto the training field and Cole instantly ran over to give me a hug.

"You can see it on your neck" He whispered in my ear before planting a kiss on my lips.

I laughed at his lips which were now covered in lip gloss before smacking him on the arm for smudging mine.

"Oi don't injure me before the season even starts"

He gripped his arm dramatically before using his sleeve to wipe his lips and used his thumb to fix my lip gloss before running back off to join his teammates.

I went and sat in my normal spot and laid one of the guy's hoodies on the floor for me to sit on. I was wearing white joggers and couldn't risk getting green grass stains on them.

I used the camera on my phone to look at the mark Cole had left on my neck and hoped to god that no one would see.

"What's that on your neck?"

Oh for goodness sake.

I looked up to see Noni sitting down next to me

"Thats my jumper by the way" He nodded towards the hoodie that I was sat on.

I smiled and carried on looking on my phone

"You haven't answered my question, what's on your neck"

I could tell he was trying to search for answers in my expression but wasn't finding anything

"Just a curling iron burn from yesterday"

I felt like I was convincing but Noni saw straight through me

"I know that's not a curling iron burn, I have sisters Sienna"

Shit. Didn't think of the sisters.

"So, how's Cole in bed"

I gasped loudly and smacked Noni hard at his comment. We both laughed and Noni rejoined his teammates.

It was nice to tell someone other than Maya but I didn't know if the others would notice and i crossed my fingers that I wouldn't get any attention or questions about the mark on my neck, which was more than noticeable.

I walked into the boot room to find the boots Reece wanted as one of his studs had come off and he needed his spare pair that were in the cubbies against the wall. As I walked out through the door, I bumped into some tall. They caught me before I fell back and when I composed myself, I looked up slightly and saw Levi. We didn't talk much but he smiled at me. He let go of me and we stood in an awkward silence for a few moments before I muttered a quick thankyou before speeding off past him to give Reece his boots.

For the rest of the training session, I caught Levi staring a few times. It didn't make me uncomfortable, and everytime i caught him staring, I gave him a smile.

After training, Levi came up to me and started talking about random stuff. It was odd, we never spoke before and now suddenly he was chattering away with me.

Cole approached us and put his arm round my shoulders protectively. I could sense the jealousy radiating from him but chose to ignore it as I wanted to get to know others at the club. I only really spoke to Reece, Cole, Noni and a few others and when there were gatherings or parties, I always stuck to those people.

I waited outside the changing room for the boys to get changed while scrolling through my phone, occasionally sniggering at a funny tiktok. Reece was first to walk out and he was on his own. He looked at me and then looked at my neck which I then realised wasn't covered. He gave me a weird look.

"What's that" He questioned

"Just a curling iron burn"

He raised his eyebrows as if to say don't lie to him but I ignored the look and looked back down at my phone. He moved my hair away from my neck to have a closer look and I moved back slightly so it wasn't as clear.

"Thats not a burn Sienna"

I gulped but shook my head and stayed true to my lie.

"Who gave you that fucking hickey"

I knew he was just being overprotective but he was still intimidating even when he was being a big brother.

Cole walked out, sensed the tension and walked back into the changing room.

"Was it him" he nodded towards Cole who had already gone through the door

I looked down and nodded slightly

"Okay, be safe yeah?"

I stood there in shock as he gave me a hug before walking off down the hallway.

I smiled to myself. I could tell Reece was coming to terms and accepting Cole and I. Speaking of him, Cole came out the changing rooms again and looked at me, asking how it went with his eyes.

"Surprisingly well actually"

I saw him let out a sigh of relief which had clearly been building up over the past 5 minutes. He slung his arm round me and we walked down the hallway and out the door.
