last night......
as the two couple were shown the rooms........
"nice" Ezekiel complimented looking around, which was true considering how well carefully maintained everything was........there was a huge four posture bed in the middle of the room and small furniture scattered tastefully all around it and they looked old.....as in old as the time of royalty with lots of filigree woodcraft work all over them, even that huge bedpost and postures, finding this kind of woodcrafting is rare nowadays.
Mayur on the other hand had something else in mind, Ezekiel noticed.
their sleeping arrangement!
he let out a bitter smirk.
"get freshen up.....and take rest, you look sleepy" He said
she cocked her head at him..."and if you d--
"you'll kick me in my nut....i get it" He bluntly said making her narrow her eyes.
"yes, I'll....be sure of that" She tightly said
"you didn’t sleep a wink last night did you!" He said and shook his head
"doesn’t concern you"
"IT DOES.....!" His voice came out rather loud.....and he closed his eyes taking deep breath "look, I'm just trying to be understanding here.....you--
"a little late for that" She said opening her bag harshly and pulling out some cloth to change and went directly into the washroom.
as he watched her leaving from there hurriedly.....there was this ever so compelling thought popped in his mind to follow her there and seduce her like the first time he did and take her against the wall......burying himself in her warmth!
holy fuck!
or at least one kiss.....yes! at least one kiss would do!
suddenly he felt hot all over..... buttons of full sleeved t-shirt felt like choking grip on his collarbone, he undid them and turn the AC on and sat on the bed for awhile.....then started pacing around like caged animal while looking at the bathroom door, she'd be coming out anytime now.
He knew he can hardly control himself around her.......it's been too long! but it'll be dick move to try to seduce her like a shameless bastard who doesn’t feel any remorse after what he did.....he really wanted her to believe that he'd never abandon her again, he really wanted to win her trust this time.
with that thought he stormed out of their room.......
She came out five minutes later only to see whole room was empty and let out a sigh in relief.

period is not just about bleeding every single month......you know!
especially for Mayur......
it's a headache and a whole body ache and constant lower back pain and sore breasts and bloated tummy and dry skin and dysmenorrhea and.....an urge to kill a certain human being who addresses himself her husband every now and then, he even stays with her all day long and follows her around wherever she goes and she can't even complaint here infront of her mother's side of the family. Except in front of the second brother of her mother who lives in Atlanta and was in her wedding, her uncle from.....except him nobody knew much about their actual situation.
"our kirtaniya (singer) will be coming this afternoon......"
"he's going to sing our traditional song right ?" Ferdousi asked getting excited
"yes"
"must you act so aloof.....and moody, look Ferdousi and her husband socialising with everyone, why don't both of you do the same" Noyin parrish leaned over where Mayur was sitting doing something on her laptop and muttered under her breath
"you can go around introducing him as your Son-in-law ma and show him all around everything but please.....don't drag me into this" She grumbled without even looking up at her typing furiously
"are you working......even here!" Noyon asked ignoring the jab
"yeah.....just some emergency came out" She mumbled
"Kalu have you brought the weapons ?" Pishima yelled and asked at one of the servants
"হ্যা পিসিমা"
[ yes Aunt ] the answer came fast
lunch!
"if we didn’t come here we'd have missed the real flavour of the festival, just imagine we'll be eating the bog (the offering) all day" Jess said while getting ready.......
"it is Bhog not bog" Cole corrected him while Ezekiel chuckled
three of them got really comfortable with each rather fast, in fact the awkwardness between Ezekiel and Cole due to the bitter memory of past and divorce dissolved fast with Ferdousi's husband around always initiating small talks.
"are you guys ready" Dumble aka DumboruPani Deb Roy ; Dr.Pinakpani Deb Roy's only son almost the same age of Mayur walked in to tell them that food is served already to.
"Ferdousi di is really funny বললো ঢিলে পেটুক বামন দাদাদের তাড়া দাও নাহলে সাজতে সাজতে দশমি এসে যাবে"
[ she said ask the lazy foodies to get ready quickly or the festival will be over ]
"did you just call us lazy foodies" Jess scowled at her
"not me.....your wife" Dumble chuckled and answered
"oh, just wait until i get her...." Jess left with all the others behind him snickering
"Ferdousi......did you call me foodie" He asked almost looking like a 3 years old child
Ferdousi was feeding the baby Arnab, she looked at him and said "why.....was i wrong, don't you take time to get ready,..... are you not foodie ?" her eyes were sparkling with laughter
"yeah.....right" He muttered before they started taking a seat
"there you go.....লুচি, সুজির হালুয়া, সবজি, সন্দেস বাড়িতে পাতা"
[ fried bread, semolina pudding, vegetables, homemade sweet ] Noyon and two other female came out with three large brass platter with couple of small bowl on them full of various food items
"Ezekiel....beta let me introduce you to them, this Monika, my brother Pinak, you met earlier, his wife. and that one is my second brother's wife Chandra....you met both of them at your wedding 3 years ago" Noyon parrish introduced her sister in laws.
Ezekiel questioningly looked at Mayur who was standing behind her mother, their eyes met and she could tell just by one look at his face that he doesn’t remember any of their faces,......she scoffed inwardly and looked away from him
"they look so perfect together right....and don't be shy, finish everything on your platters, we'll be right back with more" Monika Deb Roy complimented the new couple while Chandra awkwardly looked back and forth at them
Ezekiel didn’t say anything after that......neither did the other two male, they were busy stuffing their face
