Y/N's POV

The next day, I went to the café where James had invited me. I remembered his name, but honestly, I felt a bit embarrassed about forgetting so many details about him. As I walked into the café, I scanned the room and spotted James waving at me from a corner table.

I made my way over, trying to shake off my nervousness. "Hey, James! Sorry I'm late."

"No worries," he said with a friendly smile. "I've already ordered for us. I hope you like coffee."

I took a seat and glanced around. The café had a cozy atmosphere with soft lighting and warm, inviting colors. We chatted about school, our interests, and what we were planning for the vacation. James seemed nice enough, but I couldn't help but think about Jimin and our recent time together.

As we talked, I noticed James leaning in a bit closer, his eyes on mine. I tried to stay focused on the conversation, but my mind kept drifting back to Jimin.

"So, what about you? Any exciting plans for the holidays?" James asked, breaking my train of thought.

"Oh, um, not really," I replied, trying to sound enthusiastic. "Just spending time with friends and maybe catching up on some reading."

James nodded, then suddenly asked, "What about Jimin? I've seen you with him a lot lately. You two seem pretty close."

I raised an eyebrow, a little surprised by the question. "Oh, Jimin? Yeah, we've been studying together and hanging out. He's a good friend."

James looked curious. "Good friend, huh? You seem to spend a lot of time with him. What's he like?"

I took a sip of my coffee, trying to think of the right words. "Jimin? He's really smart and quiet, but he's also really talented. We've been working on some animation stuff together."

James smiled, but there was something in his eyes that made me uneasy. "Sounds interesting. It's nice that you two get along so well."

I smiled back, trying to keep the conversation light. "Yeah, it is. We've been having a lot of fun."

James nodded, but I couldn't shake the feeling that he was more interested in Jimin than he let on. I decided to push the thought aside and focus on our conversation.

We continued talking about various topics. James was easy to talk to, and the conversation flowed naturally. We shared stories about our favorite books, movies, and some funny anecdotes from our school days. I found myself laughing more than I expected, enjoying the light-hearted banter.

James, noticing my smile, leaned in slightly and said, "It's nice to get to know you better. You have a great sense of humor."

I blushed a little, feeling flattered. "Thanks, James. I'm really enjoying our time together."

James's smile widened. "Me too. You know, I'm glad we could hang out today. It's a nice break from studying."

We chatted for a while longer, the conversation shifting from light topics to more personal ones. James asked about my interests, my plans for the future, and even my thoughts on various subjects. It felt like we were really getting to know each other, and I began to feel more comfortable around him.

As we finished our coffee and snacks, James glanced at his watch. "Well, it's getting late. I should probably get going."

I nodded, feeling a twinge of disappointment. "Yeah, I should head back too."

We stood up, and James offered to walk me back to my dorm. I appreciated the gesture and agreed. As we walked outside, the cold air hit us, but the warmth from our conversation kept me feeling cozy.
