Y/N's POV
Days turned into weeks, and with winter approaching, the campus was starting to feel colder. The chill in the air was a reminder that exams were just around the corner. Despite the academic pressure, Jimin and I continued our drawing sessions. We spent hours discussing animation techniques and sharing our latest sketches. I often found myself sitting behind Jimin in class, making small talk and trying not to distract him too much.
Today, however, was a bit different. I realized I'd forgotten to prepare something for both Jimin and me to eat. As we walked toward the cafeteria, I felt a bit guilty for not having anything ready.
"Sorry about this," I said, glancing at Jimin. "I forgot to make us lunch. Looks like we're stuck with whatever the cafeteria has."
Jimin raised an eyebrow. "Forgot, or just didn't feel like cooking?"
I laughed. "Maybe a bit of both. It's not like the cafeteria food is that bad, right?"
Jimin smirked. "I guess we'll see. But if it's terrible, I'm holding you responsible."
"Deal," I said with a grin. "Just don't complain too much."
We arrived at the cafeteria, the smell of various dishes wafting through the air. The line was already starting to form, but we managed to find a spot near the serving counter.
"So, any plans for after lunch?" I asked as we waited.
Jimin shrugged. "I was thinking we could work on that animation project we talked about. I've got some new ideas I want to try out."
"Sounds good," I said. "Just don't expect me to catch up to you anytime soon. I still feel like a beginner."
Jimin chuckled. "No worries. I'm sure you'll pick it up fast. Besides, it's more fun to teach someone who's enthusiastic."
As we finally got our food and found a table, I couldn't help but enjoy the easygoing nature of our conversation. Despite the stress of exams and the cold weather, the warmth of our growing friendship made everything feel a bit lighter.
As we settled into our seats with our food, I was just about to take a sip of my juice when Jimin's elbow nudged the table slightly. The cup tipped, and a splash of juice spilled onto the table.
Jimin froze, his eyes widening as he looked at the small mess. He glanced at me with an innocent expression, clearly not sure how to react.
I looked at him, unamused. "Nice move there, Jimin."
He blinked, trying to suppress a grin. "I didn't mean to. It was an accident."
I rolled my eyes but couldn't help the faint smile tugging at my lips. "Well, thanks for the extra color on the table. It's not like we needed a drink anyway."
Jimin chuckled softly, the tension breaking. "I promise to be more careful next time. I didn't realize my elbows were so dangerous."
We both stared at each other for a moment, the awkwardness of the spill turning into a shared laugh. The small mess on the table seemed to dissolve our earlier worries, and the warmth between us felt even more comforting in that moment.
As we continued eating, Jimin glanced at me with a smirk. "Exams are coming soon, you know."
I sighed dramatically. "Ugh, stop giving me a reality check!"
Jimin laughed, shaking his head. "Hey, just trying to keep you on your toes. It's not like we can ignore them."
"I know, I know," I said, rolling my eyes but smiling. "It's just that I'd rather focus on things that don't involve cramming for tests."
