Meanwhile, Mr Brown was at his office dealing with some issues as his company hasn't been signing contracts recently and Brownoil was going bankrupt. They had lost a significant amount of money to some people who made a huge business proposal to Brownoil. But unknowingly to Mr Brown, they were a group of fraudulent people who 'disappeared' without a trace after duping him.
"Good morning sir, Mr Brian Is here to see you sir." The Secretary said as she stood before him.
"Let him in." He said, rubbing his temples. Seconds later, Mr Brian walked in with his briefcase.
"Mornin' Brown. What's with the long face?" He asked.
"Oh Brian you have no idea what Brownoil is going through now..." he said.
"What's the matter?"
"Look, we were duped some months ago and since then, we haven't been able to recover our money back and....i'm afraid we're going bankrupt..." he said, looking downcast.
"Bankrupt? How's that possible? What about that contract you were telling me about last week?" He asked, alarmed.
"That didn't go well...it was withdrawn. Look Brian, I really need your help now. This company is my father's legacy and I can't watch it crumble. Brownoil has grown to have such a reputation both locally and abroad. All that can't just go to waste now..." he said. Brian looked at him sadly. He had never seen him like this before and he knew the situation was very serious as it was starting to take a toll on him.
"Does Jane know?"
"Jane? " Brown scoffed. "What does she have to do with this? She doesn't work here so how's that supposed to concern her?" He looked at Brian incredulously.
"It's okay...give me sometime...I'll think of a way to help you."
"Time? Brian I don't have any time left! I've got Bill's and debts to pay and Brownoil is on the verge of going bankrupt. I need answers, Brian. I need ideas, solutions, suggestions; I need something! I can't just sit here anymore doing nothing..." his desperation scared Brian.
"Calm down Brown...I'll see what I can do. In the mean time, you take deep breaths and do not make impulsive decisions, okay? I'll help you." He said, standing up to leave as Brown nodded.
"See you later, Brown. I'll keep in touch." Brian said, leaving.
