Brown entered his car and zoomed off. He didn't let his driver take him to the office today, Brian had asked him to come alone. He pulled over at the location where he had told him to wait. Brown turned off the engine and got down from the car.
He looked around him and for a moment,  he felt he was at the wrong place. He decided to call Brian but stopped when he saw him waving at a distance. He walked briskly to him, looking around, feeling a bit uncomfortable.

"Hey man why are you looking like that?" Brian asked, bemused as Brown eyed him warily.

"What are we doing here? "He asked as Brian turned to start walking away. "You told me Mr Jedediah wanted to see me..." He said, increasing his pace to be able to catch up with him.

"Yes, I did and that's where we're going." He said simply as they walked into the old warehouse and Brian led him to another part of the building which looked less dusty and better than the main warehouse itself. They entered an elevator and the ride was awfully quiet. Brown was curious...curiosity was eating him up badly.
After what seemed like forever, the elevator doors slid open and they walked into a well furnished, beautifully designed hallway where two hefty looking guards stood at a door at the end of the hallway. Brian kept walking like he was familiar with the place while Brown was in awe...how can such a beautiful place exist in an old deserted warehouse? He thought. The guards let them in after confirming from Mr. Jedediah that they had an appointment with him.
They entered the huge office where scary looking guards stood at different corners and a man sat on his swivel chair, facing the wall behind him.

"Mr Brian..." his deep voice boomed, making Brown flinch a little as he didn't know Mr Jedediah sat there because of how dimly lit the office was.

"Mr Jed, he's here with me" Brian replied.

"Have a seat then. Let's begin our meeting." He said, finally turning around to face them as they sat quietly.

"It's nice to finally meet you sir, I'm honoured." Brown said as Mr Jedediah smiled.

"Same here. Can you tell me more about the issue you're facing with the company now? "He asked, relaxing in his chair as Brown explained the situation to him. After his narration, Mr Jedediah sat thoughtfully for a while before he final spoke up.

"Okay then. I can definitely help you with that, depending on how well you cooperate with me." He said as Brown lifted a brow.

cooperate? He thought as Mr Jedediah went on to explain what he meant as if sensing Brown's confusion.

"We'll have to merge both companies together since we are both in the same line of business. All you have to do is sign the contract papers and Brownoil gets to keep its reputation. "He said as Brown frowned, not really liking the idea.

"Isn't there any other way you can help?" He asked.

"None that I can think of" He replied, almost immediately. "And besides, that's the fastest decision you can make to save your company from going bankrupt completely. "He said.

"Anyways, here's my card. When you've made up your mind, just give me a call and we'll start the process. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got somewhere else to be." He said, leaving as two guards walked out with him.

"Why the long face Brown? You already have your solution! Shouldn't you be happy now?" Brian asked as the both walked out of the building.

"I don't think a merger's the right decision to make now..." he said as Brian shot him an incredulous look.

"What're you even saying? Brownoil is going bankrupt with ridiculous debts and-" he said as Brown cut him off.

"And you think a merger's the right solution?!" Brown asked, pissed as Brian sighed and patted his shoulder.

"Think about it and don't waste your time. Don't let your emotions mess this opportunity up." He said and drove away.
