Mr Jedediah walked in smartly, grinning widely from ear to ear. They were at the hotel and Brown was sitting in a reserved part of the restaurant where they were waiting to have lunch. Brown frowned and looked at him warily as he sat opposite him.
"Top of the mornin' to you Brown." He said as Brown muttered a greeting in response.
"Why do you look so happy? Any updates? "He asked as Jedediah signaled for a waiter to come .
"What would you like to eat Brown?" He asked.
"Y'know, we need to celebrate so I suggest we start with some champagne first." He said, interrupting Brown as the waiter left immediately and went to get the order.
"Celebrate? What on earth are we celebrating?" Brown asked, looking at him incredulously.
"Well, I'm pleased to inform you that our project is already ongoing at the community. "He replied as the waiter returned and topped their glasses.
"Cheers to our first project together." Mr Jedidiah said, raising his glass up as the waiter left and Brown looked at him, confusion etched all over his face.
"What?! When? How?" He asked as Mr Jedediah rolled his eyes.
"Come on, clink it! Don't leave me hanging." He said as Brown reluctantly picked up the glass.
"How'd you do it? "Brown asked, dropping the glass on the table. He was too confused to drink anything.
"I told you i had my ways. Or did you ever doubt that? Well, now you see that I get whatever I want and no one can stop that." He said as Brown eyed him warily.
"But-"
"This calls for celebration not questions. Now drink up. We've got work to do." He said and walked out, looking visibly pissed. Brown couldn't help it, he didn't know whether to be happy or worried because it seemed too sudden. It was just a week ago that they had the meeting with the community heads and they bluntly refused so why the sudden change? Brown needed answers and only one person could give him the answers he needed.
