Chapter 13🦋

As night falls, Dan-yin can't shake off a sense of unease. Despite her husband being by her side, her heartbeat remains restless.

"Relax, Ayin," Curtis murmurs, kissing her forehead and noting the lingering scent of her anxiety. He keeps her close throughout dinner as she struggles to calm down.

The group's appetite wanes in response to her tension. Harvey tries to coax her into eating by preparing her favorite dish, gently feeding her small bites and feeling relieved when she accepts.

"Are you sensing something?" Shuu asks, holding her hand and rubbing it gently.

Seeing the worry in her husband's eyes fills Dan-yin with guilt. 'I'm acting strangely...' she thinks as she leans on Curtis' shoulder, glancing at Shuu.

"I don't think I can sleep tonight," she said softly enough just for her husband to hear.

She had been tossing in bed for a while and could see that two of her husbands were already asleep, except for Curtis and Winston.

"Don't worry about me... you both can sleep first," she said.

"How can I sleep when you're awake?" Curtis asked, hugging her waist and rubbing it gently. Winston also held her hand and kissed it. "I didn't used to sleep. This is nothing, Yin," he added.

"Sleep... we'll make sure nothing happens to you or us," Winston whispered, continuing to rub her until she drowsed off.

Just as Dan-yin falls asleep, they can finally relax, though they remain vigilant in case she wakes up or something occurs.

next day,

"I don't want to eat," Dan-yin whined as they insisted she try the eggs, which looked disgusting to her. She wasn't sure why; she had thought eggs were good before, but suddenly they seemed unappetizing.....(˚ ˃̣̣̥⌓˂̣̣̥)

"Then what do you want to eat? You haven't touched anything," Harvey said, looking worried as she refused her favorite dish.

She shook her head, not wanting anything, and buried her face in Shuu's shoulder. She was sitting on his lap, seeking comfort.

"Please eat something. I can cook something else for you," Winston pleaded. She had only eaten two spoonfuls last night and now refused to eat at all. The others looked worried and tried to persuade her.

Curtis, who had been watching, got up and brought some fruit from the kitchen, knowing she usually ate it when bored.

"It's your favorite," he said, cutting the fruit into smaller pieces and attempting to feed her. But instead, she buried her face deeper into Shuu's shoulder.

"I don't want to!!" she exclaimed, gripping Shuu's clothes tightly. Why couldn't they understand? She just didn't want to eat.

"I don't want...to eat..." she looked up at her husband with a guilty, sad expression after yelling at them. Overwhelmed with emotion, she cried a little, causing everyone to panic.

"Okay... okay... no need to eat."

"I'll throw this fruit!"

"Then let's not talk about food!"

"I'm sorry... I just don't feel like eating right now..." She sniffled as she looked at them.

The four of them sat in a circle around her.

"It's okay. You can eat later or we can take a walk; maybe you'll feel like eating then," Curtis said, rubbing her head and wiping her tears.

"Mm, I want to walk," Dan-yin said softly, wrapping her arms around Curtis's neck. Changing into Curtis now.

"Can we all go out together?"

Harvey suddenly spoke, "I can't. I have a patient to see," while gazing at her.

Dan-yin's eyes reddened, threatening tears once more, which made Harvey panic and drop all his medical supplies.

"You don't love me anymore...!!" she choked back her tears.

"What?! No! I love you!"

"You choose another female!"

"oh my...." the other three watched, unwilling to get involved in the drama.

"Alright, I'll go with you... she just wanted to check up...."

"Hmph!"

"Ayin..."

She doesn't understand why she's feeling so emotional and hates the thought of Harvey being with another woman. She wants him here today.

"I'm so sorry. I'll be here with you," Harvey said, kissing the top of her head and making her smile.

"There's the smile."

It's embarrassing to remember that she threw a tantrum and cried over Harvey this morning.

'What wrong with me...i never act like this before...' she thought as she snuggle on Winston chest. mmmm?
