A few days have passed since that day, and things are going well. Dan-yin seems busy preparing her house since Curtis will be back soon, and she can't wait to see him after such a long time.
While she was tidying up, she heard a familiar voice call out, "Little one, are you inside?"
She knew it was Arran, who had been visiting almost every day with various fruits or clothes. She sighed and opened the door.
"Arran."
"Little one... are you still mad at me?" Arran asked sadly, feeling as if her rejection was a dagger to his heart. He had thought of countless ways to win her back upon returning to the city, but things changed when another woman showed interest in him.
Even in the past few days, the female he brought along had been persistent in trying to claim him, despite his rejections.
"I don't know," Dan-yin replied. She wasn't truly angry, but seeing the woman close to Arran stirred feelings she couldn't shake.
'Why!'
"What can I do to make you forgive me?" Arran asked, ready to kneel for as long as it took.
"Stop seeing that female. Move her far away from you," she said, knowing the woman had requested to live in the castle because she was 'traumatized by males and wanted to stay with Arran since he saved her.'
'Like hell I want that,' she thought, staring at him.
"I'll do that if it makes you happy," Arran replied, no longer caring about the woman he had rescued.
"Good."
"Oh, and..." Dan-yin thought of something to make Arran work a little harder for her forgiveness, given the situation had upset her.
Arran, thinking he was finally getting closer to Dan-yin, paused when she spoke again in that tone. He looked at her, not wanting to upset her further.
"I suddenly crave... mmmm, cherries," she said, pondering whether cherries even existed in this world.
'I doubt there are any cherries here...' she thought, considering changing her playful request, but Arran took her small hand, looked into her eyes, and asked eagerly,
"Cherries? Is that a fruit? Should I go find some for you? What do they look like?" He bombarded her with questions.
'calm...down?'
"Nevermind the cherry....i think-"
"NO! if it cherry that you want, i will go and find it for you! tell me how does it look like?" He look so determined to find the 'cherry'.
After Dan-yin described how the 'cherry' looked, he dashed out of the house, passing Winston and Parker, who were just about to enter.
"What was that?" Parker exclaimed, surprised by Arran's sudden speed. He glanced at Dan-yin, who chuckled.
"What did you tell him?" Winston asked, pinching Dan-yin's cheek, making her giggle, while he shook his head, knowing she must be up to something.
"Is it something bad?" Parker raised his eyebrows, looking at Dan-yin for an explanation.
"Nooo!! I just wanted to play with him, but then he got serious... so it's not my fault anymore~," Dan-yin laughed.
"Whatever you say, yiyi," Winston said, pulling her closer and lifting her effortlessly, followed by Parker. They had been living together for a while, and Parker had changed day by day. Occasionally still childish, he was becoming a better person.
"Parker..."
"Hm?" Parker looked up at Dan-yin, who was being carried by Winston.
"What do you think about me? I know you liked... mmmm Bai before. What about now?" She asked, seeking confirmation about his feelings, wondering if Bai still lingered in his heart.
"Dan-yin... Bai is dead in my life," Parker replied immediately. "and i am serious when i'm want you"
'That's good... mmmm should I mate with him? he change so much and even help Winston unlike he in the story...sometime they do fight but it not fun if there no fighting right? hehehe' Dan-yin thought to herself.
