The Ape King looked furious as he waited for Bai to return. When he spotted her approaching Beast City, he ordered the other beastmen to seize her.
"Female! What have you done?" he shouted, his anger evident. He wished to expel Winston, but the female with him seemed to bring luck, unlike Bai.
How could he have misjudged her? Now he faced the consequences of trusting Bai.
"What is the meaning of this, Ape King?" she asked, confused as they dragged her away.
"You are the misfortune of my city!"
"Get her out! I don't want her in Beast City."
Bai was terrified by the sudden shift in the Ape King's attitude. Why was he acting this way?
"Ape King... please... don't kick me out! I don't even have a mate!" she pleaded, despite having been selective in choosing a beastman.
"Remove her. I don't care what happens to her."
"Ape King!" she yelled as the beastmen dragged her away.
"No, sell her to Flare City (i change it). I heard they have fewer females," the Ape King ordered not buying her pitiful plead.
Dan-yin was thrilled when Curtis told her that Winston was getting closer. She eagerly anticipated seeing him and Shuu.
"Are they close?!" she asked excitedly.
Harvey chuckled, "Yes, very close," as he held her waist tightly and gently kissed her cheek while they waited for Winston.
A few minutes later, she spotted a large tiger approaching along with Shuu. But who was the other beastman following them? She squinted to get a better look.
As they drew nearer, she realized it was a leopard, similar to Harvey. "Who is this?" she wondered.
"Ayin," Winston said, kneeling and waiting for her to come closer. Embarrassed, she stepped forward and hugged him. "Welcome back, handsome," she whispered, eliciting a purr from him.
Winston felt overwhelmed with joy at seeing her again. He held her against his chest, inhaling her scent as her petite frame pressed against his muscular build. He let out a soft, breathless sigh, savoring the moment after so long apart.
"I miss you, baby," he whispered, unconcerned about the others watching.
"B-baby?" she exclaimed, startled by the nickname she had taught him before their separation. He been using it for a while now!
Winston noticed her scent sweetening and smirked.
"yes baby" he nuzzle his nose on her neck, liking her reaction towards his words.
