Happiness in the beast world

chapter 10

After the morning drama, Dan-yin decided to explore Beast City since Winston mentioned there were flower fields here. Shuu, the newest family member, was dragged along by Dan-yin as the others  busy~. So it was just her, Winston, and Shuu.

"Is it far?" Dan-yin asked, glancing up at Winston walking beside her. "No, not really."

Shuu looked like a lost puppy trailing behind them. Dan-yin wanted to ask what was wrong but hesitated, sensing he was troubled. For now, she accepted him; she intended to, after all. It was better to act now than to regret it later.

"Shuu~ walk with us~" Dan-yin called, pulling his arms to join hers and Winston's, linking them together.

'Now that I think about it... Shuu sent me a courting gift, who's the other one from?'

She looked at Shuu and asked, "Shuu, did you send me meat?"

"I sent you fruit, Dan-yin," he replied, glancing down at the smaller female. 'Meat? Is there another beastman pursuing her?'

No? Then who might it be?

Upon arriving at the flower fields, she joyfully ran towards the blossoms, savoring the beauty of nature. How lovely the world is... I wish I could stay here forever.As the gentle breeze caressed her cheeks, she paused to breathe in the sweet fragrance that danced in the air.

She walked around with her barefoot feeling the soft earth beneath her feet, as if the ground were cradling her in a warm embrace.  "I would wrap myself in this moment, forever lost in its embrace." A butterfly fluttered past, its delicate wings shimmering in the sunlight, and for a fleeting instant, she wished to follow it to mysterious places unknown.

Winston and Shuu trailed closely behind her, determined to protect her from any harm or from being pursued by another beastman seeking a female.

"You better not be on the Ape King's side," Winston said slowly, making sure Dan-yin didn't overhear.

"I can promise you, I'm not on his side," Shuu replied, his heart heavy. From the first day he saw Dan-yin at the market, she had been the only female he desired.

"hehe look! pretty right?" Dan-yin look liked a child who first time getting out from the house, run towards the two beastman. They look fond with her childish act.

"It's beautiful. Take some if you'd like," Winston said, placing small flowers in Dan-yin's hair. "My lovely female," he whispered, causing her to shiver at his deep voice.

'Not good for my heart.'

After some time, the three of them rested under a tree and shared fruit with Dan-yin.Dan-yin, with a bright smile, reached into the woven basket at his side and pulled out a ripe peach, its skin glistening with morning dew. "Here, try this," Winston said, handing it to the Dan-yin.
