(A little input before the story begins, I've decided to let the stones not have any healing powers, its just too easy, the stones will help beasts gain marks faster, increase their strength, which can be as in Bard case a strength of mind but for most it will be strength in body, it will also help to extend your lifespan, it can make females be more beautiful and in some cases more fertile the reason why Qin wanted the stone in the story is because of the beauty aspect, our heroine will be the same, who does not like a pretty face but on with the story. 😉)
Even though Parker would run like the wind it would still take him a few days to reach the city but Muir, Curtis and Winston did not know what kind of beast had broken in, Harvey was not much of a tracker but he took a whiff of the intruders smell and thankfully he could identify the beasts, he had encountered Parker too many times and it had always been a bother but now he was thankful that he had had the misfortune of knowing Parker. Winston and Muir of course knew who he was but they were not familiar with him since they had not had an encounter with him. Harvey could explain more about him since he knew him best, his description was not very positive, he told them that he was arrogant, wilful and luckily not very bright, he thought there were three possibilities about what Parker would do, one is that he had been uninterested and just left after sating his curiosity, second was that he had left to the village and would try to gather beasts to get the cub back but the village had been attacked by ferals just a few days ago and most of the strongest beasts had been killed or were seriously injured so he thought it was rather unlikely option for him to pick, the third one was that he would go to the city and gather an army to get the cub back, he thought that was the most likely choice Parker would pick. Winston was a good hunter so he decided to follow Parker tracks to try to see where he was heading, they all agreed that was a good idea and rushed back inside, Curtis did not want to leave the cub at all, he kept her cool but did not disturb her rest, she was exhausted from all the pain. Harvey grounded the herbs together that had a certain healing effect, he had worked on beasts that had similar problems with their muscles as Qin did, but their spasm had not been as serious though, so he got to work, he showed Muir the herbs he wanted and told him to collect as many as he could, he told them where to find it and off Muir went.
Harvey worked fast and hard, he grounded the herbs until they were just how he liked them to be, he asked Curtis to go to the tree that had stone fruit and collect ten big leaves from that tree, Curtis did not want to leave but Harvey said it was vital he went for he needed it for her medicine. Curtis was quick to gather the leaves and hurried back to the cave, he gave Harvey the leaves and went straight back to Qin. Curtis did watch what Harvey did intently for if this could help Qin he wanted to be able to make it himself. Harvey was quick to make use the leaves and bind them together then he lathered the medicine on it evenly and made sure it was well covered, he could use this on her back. He walked toward Qin and asked Curtis to carefully lay her on her stomach and make sure she wont move until he was finished with the back. Harvey was very heedful but made sure the whole back was well covered, after he was done he told Curtis to move her on her back again but very carefully, they worked together so the medicine would not fall off her back, after she was on her back again he took the leaves and knotted them together in several places so it would not fall off, he was not finished yet, he had to do this all over again for her stomach, arms, buttocks and legs but he was sure this would help her immensely, now all he had to do was wait for Muir again. While Harvey took a little break Curtis asked him what were his thoughts on why this had happened to her, Harvey had asked himself this same question many times but he did not know but he still thought that it was related to her being a sea creature and that she was on land, maybe she was not supposed to be on land during winter, it might have effected her body and since her body was not made to hibernate, her muscles were not ready, still it was only a guess but he did not really know, he told Curtis the same but made sure to tell him he was only guessing, he could not be sure.
Curtis decided to go out and get more leaves since he would need much more, it was better to have everything prepared, while Curtis went Harvey examined Qin, she was still sound asleep but she was mumbling in her sleep and sometimes wailing a little, his heart just broke for the little cub, she was so small and yet she had to endure so much pain, he was not even sure an adult beasts would have lived through what she had went through, if he had been just a little bit later she could have easily died, he held her hand and cried, he had failed her and he vowed to himself to never put anyone else before her health again.
Muir came back and witnessed the tender moment between Harvey and Qin, he was very annoyed at the leopard if he had not taken so long Qin would have not have to endure for so long, still Harvey was the only one that could help her so he swallowed his anger and gave Harvey what he had asked for. Harvey wiped off his tears and went straight back to work, they did not have a lot of time and he had to hurry. While he was grounding the herbs again Winston came back, he told them that Parker was heading to the city so they had a few days before they had to leave, Harvey had no time to think about leaving now he focused all his energy on making the medicine for Qin.
After a little while Curtis came back with enough leaves for Harvey to last for a lifetime, still Harvey just said thank you and got back to work, after he was done he put the medicine on her stomach and used the leaves to bind it on her back, after making the medicine a few times he had bounded the leaves to her legs, arms and buttocks, it would not be easy for her to move but she would have to endure it for two days, it took time for the medicine to reach the muscles but he was confident that it would work.
After she was covered in medicine they decided to make a plan to escape with Qin, it was decided to put her on Muir back and use leaves to secure her on his back, she could lie on his back and just stay still, they would have to travel a long journey but thankfully the had been preparing for it, only if Qin was not so sick it would have been a more pleasant trip, now they all worried, how far would they have to go to be safe, no one knew and that was worrying them all.
Qin woke up after sleeping for more than a whole day, when she awakened she was still in so much pain but still it was not as bad as before, she tried to move her legs and arms but could not, she called out for Harvey, telling him that something was wrong, she could not move. Harvey rushed by her side to aid her. He told her not to worry he had made medicine for her that had to be on the body for a long time, Qin was quick to understand and told him that she was so thankful for his help, he was so cute looking at her with so much concern, she wanted so much to play with his ears but unfortunately she just could not reach them. Curtis petter her head and told her he was glad to see her awake again, Qin smiled at him and told him she had missed him too. After reassuring all of them and fawning all over them it was time for her to hear about the intruder that had most likely seen her. Harvey told her he was a prince and his name was Parker.
Qin got goosebumps, out of all the beasts in this land it had to be that idiot, she wanted nothing to do with him, he had most likely not met Bai so he might have liked her if he had seen her face, then she thought about Bard, if Parker went to the city Bard would know of her existence, she was scared, she was afraid of Bard since he could see things that other could not, would he be able to see that she was from another world, she did not know, she was still not like Bai, she was born into this world so maybe he would not know but she was not ready to take that chance, they had to leave, the sooner the better. Qin looked at Harvey asking when they could leave, she was a little scared, so many beasts were after her and she was only just a cub now, if only she could disguise herself but she could not do that, she did not want to die like she had done in the story, sure she had changed the flow of the story but still she would not feel safe until she had mated all the main characters, she did not know if just looking at Bai they would all fall in love, she was very worried her best bet was to mark them as soon as possible but she could not do that until she came of age, how she wished she could will herself to become an adult but regrettably that was not an option, her best bet was to take the main leads far away from the city and hoping that she would not run into Bai until she was an adult.
I hope you liked it, in the next chapter they will be moving to another location, who knows who she will meet next, remember this story is named troubled mermaid so trouble will have a way to find her at all times, ill update again in 1 to 3 days, thank you all so much for liking, reading and commenting, i read each and every comment with a big smile on my face, and you can comment on a beasts you would like for her to have as a mate, you never know if i will pick him :) thank you all so much ❤️
