Troubled mermaid

Needing to pee

It had been a long day but Muir had not went down to rest, he just keep on, Qin had known it would be a long and hard trip, she had been as ready as she could, she did not drink much and had relieved herself before the journey, now she was in anguish and she desperately had to pee, she was afraid she would pee on Muir, she did her best to not think about the pain or her need to pee but it was fruitless. She was moaning in pain but trying so much not to make sounds since it she knew it would only stress Muir out and he could not help her either. After enduring all this it they had finally reached their destination for the night, still Muir did not want to land, Qin told him he had to land, she could not wait anymore, she begged him to but he was afraid something might go wrong, Qin could not think logically, she could only think about finally being able to pee. After a while of arguing he finally relented and landed near the cave. Qin was secured on his back so he could not morph back even if he wanted to, poor Qin could do nothing, she would just have to endure, she was so embarrassed but told him so was desperate to pee, Muir told her not to worry and if she could not hold it she could pee on him, Qin was mortified, she would rather die than do that, she was moving, squirming, counting sheep in her head to try to distract herself but it just was not working.

Winston and Curtis moved as fast as they could, it would not be long now until they would reach the cave, Harvey had fallen asleep and had not woken up, Curtis was just fine with that, he hated doing small chat and Harvey could annoy him with it when he was nervous and Curtis was sure him carrying Harvey was making the leopard nervous. When they reached the cave they could see Muir trying to calm down Qin, Winston sped up and morphed quickly, trying to figure out what was the problem, as soon Qin saw Winston, she saw her saviour, she could finally pee now, she told him to hurry and get her loose, she was so close to pee on poor Muir, Winston always did as she asked and quickly released her. Qin needed assistance when relieving herself since the balm made it impossible for her to do it by herself.

Winston was quick to help and finally one of her biggest discomfort was taken care of, still her soar muscles were making so many problems for her but she knew she had to trust the process, she trusted Harvey, she knew he was an excellent healer and would only become even better with time, she was glad she had snatched him, now she was in pain and hungry, there was always something she thought to herself, always some kind of trouble she had to solve.

While Winston was helping Qin, Curtis had awoken Harvey by almost throwing him on the ground, Curtis deemed that Harvey had gotten enough rest it was time for him to help the cub, plus he had to go hunting to feed everyone, it was wiser to have Muir and Winston with Qin just to be on the safe side, it was dangerous being on the road and they could have unwelcomed guest anytime.

Winston carried Qin in his arms but was very gentle with her so he would not hurt her in any way. Qin was shy and whispered a little thank you for helping her pee, she had thought she would never stop peeing, she was ashamed to let poor Winston hear and see her relive herself but Winston only thought she was cute and endearing, it always made him happy if he could help her, he liked having her rely on him, it was what he had always wanted and she was the first one to give that to him.

Somewhere far away Parker had arrived in the city, he ran as fast as he could to his father to tell him about the mermaid, he had spotted her first so he should have first tips on the female. Bard was always close, when he heard the prince had come back to the city, running like a madman he had to know what had happened so he made his way to the leopard king. Bard was a very curious beasts, he had to know what was happening in his city, he had to know if he could gain anything from everything he heard but he was happy he had made his way to the leopard king to find out what was happening.

Parker was just telling his father about Qin when Bard arrived, he had heard stories of the female mermaid, everyone had, she was a very famous little cub, he had to admit he was very intrigued to see how she looked, was she as beautiful as the stories told, he really wanted to find out. Parker told his father everything about, Winston, Muir, Harvey and and unknown feral, he told him everything Qin had not wanted Bard to know, now Bard wanted to see this cub even more, why was Muir with the cub, why had he not come back and told him about the mermaid as he should have, so many questions and not any answers, since he wanted to know he urged the king to help the poor cub, after all he knew the mermen clan were looking for her, he could always give her back to them for a hefty prize of course, he grinned, thinking of what he could get out of selling that cub.

Curtis was tired he had been running all day so he did not spend much time hunting, he hunted what they needed and went back to the cave, when he came back he could hear Qins voice, he could hear her voice was tense, she must be in so much pain he though to himself, he was proud of the cub, trying to be strong so they would not worry anymore about her, how wonderful she was, he thought if he would ever have hatchlings of his own, he thought most likely not, they would never be as sublime as she was, he was glad he was going to be able to watch her grow up, he promised himself she would live a good life, he would make sure of it.

Harvey made Muir and Winston help him massage Qin, it was the best he could do, he needed more herbs to make any kinds of pain reliefs and he could not go and collect what he needed here, they were not staying here but for one night, plus he was worn out, he did his best with what he had. Qin knew they were in a dire situation so she tried her best to lessen their worries, she was just about to say she felt better when Curtis came back with dinner, Curtis made everything ready for Harvey to cook, after he had cut and cleaned the prey he let Harvey take over. Curtis took Harveys place and massaged Qin. He smiled at her, telling her she was a strong cub, Qin almost cried, her favourite snake had complimented her and was massaging her, she felt so happy, she smiled back at him and told him she wanted to be just as strong as him, Curtis smiled even wider, happy to have found this little creature, she was so small but had such a big heart.

After dinner they all fell asleep, Muir was supposed to be on first watch but he was too tired after going above and beyond what he his strength was, he needed just as much rest as Qin, he was not over exerting himself when he went to find Harvey, he did not mean to fall asleep but sometimes things happen. Curtis curled himself protectively with Qin while Winston slept above her head and Harvey below her feet. Qin had been hot so it felt nice being so close to Curtis. They all slept well, a little too well but it was a much needed rest.

Just as Curtis and the other had thought Muir had been followed, they had seen the female cub when Muir landed but they had done nothing since Muir could have flown away, they were waiting for the right opportunity but it had not presented itself yet, then they saw other strong beasts arriving, they could not beat them in a fight but maybe they did not have to fight, maybe they could just steal the cub without anyone knowing it until it was too late but when to strike? They argued amongst themselves if the cub was worth the trouble, if they would fight they would loose and be killed, the cave had only one entrance and if they were blocked they would be trapped, the leader thought it was best to stick close to them and wait for a better opportunity, he was sure it would come, they could use her for themselves or sell her, there was no warmth in any of their eyes, only greed. Their kind were almost scentless in their beast form so they were sure they had not been detected yet, they would stay close and wait for the right time.

I wanted to explain about why they were not marked by Qin, since she is so young she cannot be marked, they can only make a vow to the beast goddess to protect her from any harm, they can break it but it would have dire consequences, they would be shunned by every beast and would never be welcomed in the beast goddess home after their death. The reason why Muir got a mark was that he went above and beyond for Qin, he risked everything for her and was rewarded by the goddess for it but what it means will be revealed later on.
I'm sorry it will take some time for her to grow up, it has to do with the flow of the story, i wanted her to build a good relationship with the male leads before becoming an adult, i also want her to have a little trouble making them see her as an adult not a cub.
About Alva, his character is who he because of how the peacocks community raises their cubs, beauty is everything to them and i want him to learn that that kind of love is only skin deep and has no substance but that does not mean he will be her mate, i hope that is alright.
