Making salt

They went back home as soon as they had come to an arrangement, Qin was very happy, she would soon be able to swim back in the sea and she could not wait to swim back in the salted sea. When they came home Qin wanted to start right away making salt, they had taken some sea water with them so all she had to do was start, while she made salt she was in her own world, she could only concentrate on making the salt she wanted, she was greedy and excited to start so she used much more salt water than what she had used before, she wanted to challenge herself also and see what she could do. Sweat started to form on her forehead but she could not feel it, she was so focused on her task that she was consumed by it, her guardians were worried about her but dared not to interrupt her, they did not know what could happen if they did so the all stayed quiet and hoped she would be done soon. She had made at least one kilogram of salt but she did not notice, she had used up too much energy and had fainted, she had forgotten that she was only a little cub still. She slept for four days, Curtis was lost in worry while Harvey was much calmer, he knew she would wake up again, she had just overexerted herself and needed sleep to get her energy back. Harvey tried to convey that to Curtis but he was not having it, he stayed by her side in bed, and curled his body with hers so he could be closer to her, he did not leave her sight for one second. Winston, Muir and Harvey were very annoyed at him, they also wanted to be close to her, they were also just as worried as him but the snake was just selfish and wanted to monopolise her in his worried state.

When she finally woke up she was thirsty and very hungry, she had no room to move, Curtis had her trapped in his coils, she looked at his sleeping face, he looked so innocent while sleeping even if she knew he was far from being that, she enjoyed watching him for a few moments until she had to relive herself, she called his name softly, asking him to let her go but instead he just held her faster, she giggled at his childishness until she had scream at him to let her go or she would pee all over him, pee was the magic word as soon as she said that he was quick to release her, she ran outside and relieved herself. When she came back Harvey had started making breakfast, she smiled at him and hugged him, she had not known she had been sleeping for such a long time but after breakfast they told her what had happened and told her she was not allowed to strain herself so much again, she was happy that they were so concerned for her, she of course told them she would not do it again, at least not until she would get a little bigger.

She was still a little tired after eating so she decided to take a little nap, before drifting to sleep she thought about her new found powers to call beasts towards her. She thought about the story and she thought more about Bard, had Bard wanted Qin for more than just her beauty?Did he know more about mermaids than others? What could she actually do? She really wanted to find out but she was scared, she was still too young, she felt it would not be safe for her to experiment until she would come of age. She thought she could only siren beasts towards her to mate but maybe she could do even more, how powerful was she really? She really wanted to find out.

For a few days she did not make any more salt, she was forbidden to make it until she had replenished her energy fully so she just used her time making ornaments. She wanted to make all her guardians beautiful jewellery they could use every day, she wanted to make them something to show them how much she cared for them. She also wanted to make ornaments for the leader of the piranha clan and she could not forget to make ornaments for Máni and Alva, they had become her good friend that always gave a helping hand, even when it was not needed.

She gave Curtis hair ornament, it suited him well with his silver hair and red eyes, she gave Harvey an necklace made of pearls, she had ruined her favourite ornament to make it for him, he was such a beautiful beasts and she felt pearls would go so well with his physic. She made a bracelet for Winston she made it with leather and stones that look liked diamonds, it suited his strong masculine body very well. For Muir she made an ankle bracelet, she used feathers Máni had given her, with leather and diamonds, it was eye catching and should hold even if he would morph, she was happy to make them gifts, they gave her so much and she wanted to give them just as much. When she gifted them their gifts she had packages them, they had never seen gifts being presented like this, they were all just as curious of what she had given them, she had been very stern that they could not peak and see what she was doing so when they got their gifts they were on cloud nine, all of them cherished her gift and would always treat it like their most loved gift. Qin wanted to help each of them to put it on, they all looked so good, it made her so happy, they were a happy little family and she wished they would always stay just like that.

Qin made more salt as soon as she could, she wanted do make more at a time but Harvey would not let her. It took her a long time making just five hundred grams since she was being watched, she had to take breaks and do something else in between, it was driving her nuts since she wanted to go back to the sea, still she tired to still herself but it was hard, her body was young and she was influenced by it, still she tried to stay calm and use her time doing something else while waiting. Curtis and Winston were busy hunting for winter, Muir mostly stayed home with Qin or in the air watching their territory, protecting it from any dangers. Harvey had started to work as a healer in the village at Qin's request. It would score them brownie points from everyone and also they would get paid it was a no dealer for Qin and Harvey loved his job so he was happy in his heart, when he was not needed, he stayed with Qin or went to the forest to collect herbs for medicine or for food, there never was a dull moment in their home, they were all just too busy, everything had to be ready for winter so they had to work hard, Qin wanted to work just as hard but they would not let her, she was only a little cub and also a female, they wanted her to be more like other females when it came to activities, they were lazy and lived only for pleasure and fun, they all wished she could learn a little from them in that regards.
