Since it would take Parker a long time to reach to city and gather beasts to come and snatch Qin away they had a little time, Qin could not be moved straight away, her health was not good and her muscles would need a long time to recover, they used the time to figure out where to go. It was decided to stay near the ocean since they did not know if she would need to go to the ocean while winter came but they did not want her to hibernate on land as she did last time, Harvey had suggested picking a large lake but that was not saltwater and they did not know if it would work, it was better to be close to a lake and the ocean but where to go, they had to go far away from the scorpions, they wanted her now so it was better to be far away from their city. Winston and Curtis had traveled a lot but out of all of them Muir had went the furthest, he suggested a village far away where peacocks had a village, there they could find a big lake near and the ocean not that far away, Qin was a little amused and a little happy, might she meet Alva, she wondered, most people who read the story disliked that character since he was vain and only wanted the most beautiful female, she found him funny and endearing, she really wanted to meet him, would he be a grown up like the other main beasts characters or would he be a cub like her, she was just dying to find out.

It was decided to stay for at least one winter in that village, Qin only got two days to rest before they had to move. Harvey reapplied the medicine on her and made sure it would not fall off during her flight, Curtis had made a sleeping bag of fur for Qin, she had given him the idea since she knew it would be cold so high in the air, she was a little bit frightened but also excited, she just wished her health was better. Her last night in the cave she thought about the plot of the story, how did this work, could she affect the plot or could she be punished for changing things, she thought about how easily she had found the main character but then she thought about her hibernation and her sickness after it, was the plot punishing her for making alterations, she had no way of knowing, she truly hoped not, if the plot would try to drag them back to the old plot what could she do and would that mean she was doomed to die, she was sullen but tried to be positive, she had captured them, at least for the time being but would she be able to keep them, she really hoped so, she did not want them to go back to the city without her, she wanted them to never go back, just keep on moving until they would find a place to call their home, there they could be happy and live in harmony, far way from the main female lead, she was nothing but trouble and brought so many beasts to their demise, she just truly disliked her and did not want to find out if she could steal her family from her. She thought of her brother, what was he doing now, had he forgotten her, she knew he had not, he was most likely searching everywhere for her and was most likely very lonely, she felt bad, she truly did not want to do this to him but she had to otherwise he would be the death of her, she hoped in time when her harem was strong enough they could meet again and become something, she did not know what but hopefully they could mend what had been broken, she thought of Bluepool and hoped he was alright, the battle had been fierce but he was a mighty warrior, she knew he had made it, her cute merman, with theses thoughts she fell asleep.

The next day everything was prepared, Muir morphed into his eagle and Harvey and Winston put her gently on his back, she was bound in many places to make sure she would not fall off, the rope was strong and would not break, Qin saw how they fearful for her flying like this so she made sure to tell them she was well snuggled and felt very safe, she told them if something would go wrong Muir would catch her, they need not to worry, everything would be alright. Muir took off, at first she was scared shitless, it was like being on a vertical rollercoaster, she got butterflies in her stomach, it was such a rush but as he reached his altitude it was not as fun anymore, it was so windy and loud, she could look down and see the ground, it was so far to the ground, she never knew how beautiful this world really was, she had found it amazing just on the ground but flying it was just a whole new experience, she felt such a rush but mostly she felt so thankful, she had a new life and she could really live like she wanted, she was going to start being more positive, she could only keep going forward, what will happen will happen but that does not mean she can do her best to change her fate, she had already gone this far and there was no backing down, she screamed happily, letting Muir know just how much fun she was having.

Curtis, Winston and Harvey followed Muir as best as they could but they could not move as fast as the eagle but they were not worried since they knew his destination, they had agreed to stop in one of Curtis hiding places, there they would sleep for the night, Curtis had described the place to Muir and he knew where it was he would not land until the whole team was there though, he was alone with her and she was still not well, he would take no chances, he did not know if anyone was watching and waiting for him to land, even though he was very high up for beasts with amazing eyesight like him they would be able to see there was something on his back and they might want to steal it so better to be safe than sorry, he would never take unnecessary risks if he did not need to.
After a while the fun of riding Muir went away, Harvey had given her special pain medication and it was wearing off, the medication was hard to make and even harder to buy since not many healers knew how to make it, Harvey did but the ingredients needed were sparse and hard to come by, he had some stash he taken from his hut when he went there last time but that was only good for one use, it was also hard to make and took a long time, he made it as soon as he came back and saw how much pain she was in but it needed to be on a fire for a few days until he could make it into the medicine she needed, he only had enough for one take and the effect would wear off in a few hours, after that it would be much harder journey for Qin in the air.

Qin tried not to make noises, she did not want to upset Muir and let him know she was in pain, he had to focus on driving, she giggled a little, she thought of him as a pilot driving a plane, but he was the plane, for some strange reason she found it so silly, she forgot about the pain for awhile and giggled, hearing her giggle always made Muir happy, when she laughed the world was much brighter, he was happy the medicine was still working or else she would not be giggling, he kept on flying hoping that he did not have to wait long for the others to catch up to him.

Harvey was the one that had the hardest time to catch up, he was not used to running for this long, his endurance was just not that good, he still did not want to make this hard so he kept on even though he felt his heart would explode, he had a hard time breathing and he was getting cramps in his stomach, after a while he had to stop, he could not even stop properly, he rolled until he laid on the ground gasping for air. Curtis stopped Winston and told him that Harvey had over exhausted himself, he was annoyed, they did not have time for this but he did not leave him, he took Harvey in his arms and headed to the spring they had just went through, he could feel how hot Harvey was, he was also wet from sweat, he put in in the spring to cool him off and give him time to collect himself. Harvey felt relieved when he felt the cold water around him, he drank eagerly so much that he started to cough, he was soar and very tired, still he did not want to give up, he tried to stand up but he legs would not heed his commands, he fell down, he had used up all his energy and could not move anymore. Winston looked at Curtis, he was just about to say that he would carry Harvey when Curtis took him into his embrace, he looked at Harvey with a cold look and told him he had to train better than this, even though he could not fight much he had to be able to run a long distance, what if something happened and he needed to run with Qin, he would fail her, Harvey was upset, he was such a failure, he felt like he could do nothing right, he was sullen but told Curtis he would do anything to protect Qin, Curtis was pleased and told him not to worry he would train him himself, Harvey face sank even further, would he be able to keep on living with the snake training him, something told him his life was going to be very hard in the future, with such depressing thoughts he finally fell asleep exhausted.

Winston and Curtis moved even faster now since Harvey was not a problem anymore, they were both strong and would be able to keep this pace for a long time, they could not wait to get to the cave, their thoughts were filled with Qin, how was she doing? Had the medication stopped working? Were they at the cave yet? They were eager to reach their destination so the both sped up, hoping to see Qin soon.
